That’s exactly what we are still doing in our bootstrapped SaaS tool! Using asp.net mvc though, not web forms.

Google Search Console is a great source to help you build on this technique. It’s the most reliable source of data on what your site is appearing in the search results for - even if it doesn’t get a click. You’ll often find your site appearing for queries that you haven’t directly addressed yet with content. Create an article that does address that query or question - and get more traffic. My tool https://seotesting.com works off GSC data and has some predefined reports that help you find these types of queries - please give it a try.

You could almost do with a ‘how safe you felt’ rating for each road. Would obviously take a while to build up the data.

I have been working on https://SEOTesting.com and released it on Friday. It’s a tool to help run SEO Tests to see whether your page and site changes are improving your rankings in Google. I’ve decided to make it free for the next 3(+) months while Corona Virus is going on as it’s one of the ways I can help so many people and businesses struggling with the impact.

What books would you recommend? Parent to 3 young kids and haven’t read any books on parenting or raising kids yet. As much worries about making a bad choice as well as a good one (in book choice that is!) that would lead to teaching the wrong stuff and habits

I have been running https://www.sanitycheck.io - an SEO tool. I built it originally to help me with my own SEO consulting work, but it has grown from being a side project to my main source of income now. Literally just this month it has reached the point of being able to support me full time. It has taken 3 years to get to this point.

It's just me - I have made use of the odd contractor for website design and copy. Upon starting the side project I wanted to see how large I could grow a business as a single person. It has been fun, but I also miss the team mate side of things such as brainstorming solutions and talking through problems.

Pick an idea you can work on in the evenings and weekends. This may limit what idea you choose - but if it is your first attempt at this it would be better to choose a small well defined problem anyway to get experience of all the fun of building, marketing and selling something.

Thanks for posting - similar situation here although our daughter is our eldest. My partner is now questioning herself even though our environment was just like yours and we don’t fit their model. It’s annoying the way this theory is being reported.

As someone has said further down - this is one theory and isn’t a general medical consensus.

Our daughter was diagnosed with ALL 12 months ago. She went to baby groups from 6 weeks and I would never have claimed our house was particularly clean.

What I have always found frustrating is we have never been asked any environmental questions about our daughters early years. There are many theories of cause so I would have expected them to get as much information as possible from us.

I would never associate ptsd with these symptoms. My daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia in May ‘17 (she’s responded well to treatment so far) and I’m susceptible to all of these - but I would never have labelled it as ptsd.

I built up a list of early access users for www.sanitycheck.io from a small Twitter following, small podcast listenership, and two seo Facebook groups I was a member of. Got about 50 users in total. 9 months of being in beta and then switched on pricing and got first 10 customers from that.

Before my side project became my main gig, I worked on it a couple of hours each evening. I told my girlfriend I was committing to the project and moved my computer desk and PC down to the tv room so we still spent time together while she was watching TV in the evenings.

We didn't have kids at the time, but I imagine the same thing still working now as kids are in bed by 7pm (on a good night!).

These people need to have some kids, and realise not to take themselves so seriously.

I've just been in intensive care with my 4 week old son for 3 days while he has been on a ventilator. Watching the doctors and nurses work does make you realise how unimportant all this social media and startup stuff mostly is.

I'm living in Reading, U.K. and have seen these signs from The Samaritans in one of the towns tallest car parks.

I'm originally from Gloucester so appreciate what you are doing for that part of the country.

Apps like Feedly and NewsBlur were managing to survive before the Google Reader announcement. If you build something good, and market it well, with niche like features - enough people will be happy to pay for it to keep you and the product going.

It seems through all of this everybody is forgetting about the customer!? I'm interested in knowing if a commission based scheme for the sales team has ever worked out well for the end user/buyer?
