We don't want to be perceived as cheap, but super expensive isn't our plan either. We're free for companies below $10K MRR, then charge on subscriber volumes. We can offer custom pricing to high-volume/low-margin businesses, feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss nick [at] chartmogul.com

"The team is so kind, helpful, and responsive."

Founder of ChartMogul here...thank you for the nice comments, you made our success team's day! <3

One important thing LTV misses is payback period. E.g. due to very low churn your LTV could potentially be huge but the value would take many years to realise, depending on your cash reserves CAC spending well below LTV still may not be economical if it takes too long to realise the ROI.

Thanks! We prefer to just put stuff out there and have faith that if people are interested in trying ChartMogul they'll come back and signup.

We have started using the little 'Sniply' powered signup at the bottom of the PDF just to do a bit of unobtrusive prompting.

Full disclosure, ChartMogul does not (yet) auto-classify churn in all the ways mentioned on the cheat sheet, however this is something we'll be working hard on over the coming months.

You can currently segment your churn in a bunch of different ways (e.g. by plan, geography, cohort, etc).

Yes several other systems out there - but competition is ultimately better for the consumer. We believe we have the best product in this space and an exciting roadmap.

I'm not familiar with all the pros/cons of all these systems and of course there will be good and bad things about all of them including ChartMogul. We're very strong in international support, e.g. geo-mapping, multi-currency, etc. Also in performance we've invested heavily in developing our platform to give an almost native/desktop performance experience.

We have features to allow you to really drill into the data rather than just look at graphs: https://chartmogul.com/blog/2015/01/dig-into-your-metrics-wi...

Also heat-mapping: https://chartmogul.com/blog/2014/12/heat-map-your-subscripti...

We have many ways to slice the data up, e.g. you can create custom plan filters and slice all your metrics with them.

There are also some things we're currently lacking - e.g. net revenue graphs (coming very soon).

Hope this helps.

Hi there, apologies for the terse answer, what I should have said is that it's always a good idea to try 2-3 solutions before deciding which one works best for your business.

I believe we are the only ones with geo-mapping and the ability to define custom sales regions. You can slice your data by plan, region, etc.

We also allow you to choose how your churn rate is calculated and have tools to allow you to really drill deep into the data instead of just showing nice looking graphs: https://chartmogul.com/blog/2015/01/dig-into-your-metrics-wi...

There is certainly some overlap but the whole experience in general is quite different than what else is out there so I would certainly encourage taking both systems for a spin.

You need to setup a read-only API key in your Braintree account which you then paste into your ChartMogul account. You also need to setup a webhook. Once that's setup we take care of everything else via the Braintree API.

There are getting started instructions when you signup to ChartMogul, it's fairly simple to setup.

Thanks for the kind words.

We currently support Stripe and Braintree, with Recurly support going live in the next few days. Chargify will be next. We'll likely be adding other billing partners in the future, for now we're focussed on being the best tool available for these four.

I'm not sure about open sourcing but we certainly thought about having an integration framework/api which would allow anyone to build an integration into ChartMogul.
