It’s the same for AI vibecoding. The more experience you have, the easier it is to keep the agent on the right path. Same for identifying which tasks to use an agent for vs doing yourself.

Open source maintainership can be an exercise in stress and guilt. You don't owe people anything and self-care is very important. Thanks for creating the project, and good job handing out some commit bits. Take care of yourself first, the code will come along eventually.

I agree with trying to move more of the network functionality out of the ISP provided device and into home servers. A simple and cheap access point[1] can provide all the L1/L2 you need. Then you can run dns and dhcp inside Linux, configure firewall rules, segment your network, etc. The sky is the limit!

Note: I reccomend a dedicated access point over hostapd because I had a lot of problems with it circa 3 years ago.
