Israel is a rogue state holding the world hostage while it commits genocide against Palestinians. Consider donating to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, avoiding doing business with Israeli companies and lobbying your representatives. Our shared future may well depend on it, and the Palestinians' definitely does.

The 80s and 90s were fun, with Atari, Commodore, DEC, SGI, Sun, HP, Next, even IBM all going at it. I guess widespread Wintel and internet access, plus Google going for commodity hardware for their servers sealed the deal - consolidation was the way forward, competition was dead.

Unlike most other projects of this kind that show up, I'm not sure how to feel about this. What did the author learn about the N64? What quirks did they fight? What do you get out ot just pointing the AI at a problem until it optimizes the solution to an acceptable point? I'd wager not a lot.

The quality of our work is too subordinated to business leaderships who see the forms of technical insurance we build into software development processes as fat, and are fundamentally opposed to doing things right. Besides solidarity this is the major reason for tech workers to unionize. We won't because we don't have any sense.

It's quite transparently a trick to prolong engagement with the app, just as pretty much any internet product which aims to maximize the LTV extracted from the user base.

Like the other commenter has said, the reason there are no such stories is that they would be hypocritical BS, and I'll add, designed to manufacture consent for unlawful military action against a sovereign nation.

The perennially genocidal occupying force controlling all aspects of Palestinian life including forcing them into a subsistence diet, "mowing the lawn" in Gaza every so often, shooting down peaceful unarmed protesters - some of them disabled - and all that before 7/Oct - has no right to complain about terrorism, for it's what it has inflicted on Palestinians for decades.
