Windows defender has the uncanny ability of spiking up its resource usage at just the wrong time. Add in MS teams into the mix and the system just starts screaming.

True ... my company recently started deploying endpoint protection like crowdstrike, beyondtrust, zscalet onto our macs and these have slowed my machine considerably. They somehow spike the CPU just when I am doing something important.
We used to have a global economic system overseen by a mostly benign and in any case law-abiding hegemon
This is probably due to the op being the denizen of a country which has not been affected by the aforesaid hegemon
Bro, you have "grass is greener on the other side" syndrome. China is a totalitarian state not comparable to the US. Take this from a non-US citizen. There maybe some backsliding or ppl may think things are worsening in the US, but US citizens always have the power to make things right, coz they are free and they can bear arms.
One meal ... many snacks?
If you know your access patterns really well and they are non-relational, then you can design the best possible tables for dyanmoDB. In such a case DynamoDB works and scales amazingly. Ofc, you cannot do multi table relationships etc shoehorning a relational scheme onto DynamoDB does not work.
"AI" is just a cover for laying ppl off and saving cost. But the pendulum will swing the the other way and the companies will realise that knowledgeable ppl are still required to generate and utilize the generated code. No serious company can run with vibe-coded apps generated by laymen.
Exactly goalposts need to keep moving
NOSQL works out really well when you know the access patterns you are working with, if not it will be like pegging a round hole with a square peg
"Pull requests" are part of git though since it was originally a DCVS it meant you would pull from an individuals git repo ... services like github etc centralized the concept
What does it take to characterize legit users also as bots
They probably surveyed their own Agents
Mega-streisand effect ... they stacked together so many of em
Nah, IBM watson jeopardy version was a one-off. It was an app specifically tuned for that usecase. IBM Watson is not a single product or app. It is more of a marketing term
Kids come and go, whereas the teachers stay there. I feel a lot of school teachers are jealous of the kids and hence all the bullying by them.
Exactly ... Used to play buggy games and used to absolutely love them, nowadays it seems like everything has to be beyond perfect.
Management would get us all dogs and they would get cats for themselves ... like blofeld from James bond ...
Management already got us all copilot licenses .. soon they will get us all a dog
looks like history runs in cycles ... Knowledge was strictly guarded and the powers that be used to decide who gets an education. Looks like you are espousing the same, discounting all the good that has come about because of open education.
they may start rcharging you warehouse storage fees and demurrage fees. chec out what happens if you dont take the delivery
Government is a poor spender, we should not be handing them more money
Parkinson's law of organizations clearly explains why orgs grow https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkinson%27s_law
Exactly, I don't think ppl understand why programming languages even came about anymore. Lotsa ppl don't understand why a natural language is not suitable for programming and by extension prompting an LLM
Every use case has necessary complexity. The only things simple are CRUD apps.
Yep, shame is the cornerstone of civilization and the scoiety right now seems to be more and more shameless.
nah filesystem snapshots may not lead to consistent DB backups. DB backup software usually use a plugin to tell the DB to coalesce data before taking a snapshot.
I have access to airtel, act broadband, jio fiber, bsnl and earlier hathway and I have switched between them and no one cut my cable and gave me grief ... no mafia present in our and the surrounding areas. Ofc the kinda ppl you talk abt may be there, but we shld not generalize.
what ... I am also a resident of bangalore ... Internet access etc is not controlled by any mafia
Exactly, there is a reason why we don't program in natural languages and use "programming languages" which use a subset of keywords to program. Natural language is too ambiguous and not of use in serious programming.
A better analogy is of an overconfident 5 year old kid, who never says that they don't know the answer and always has an "answer" for everything.
