Fucking weird.

I’ve never worked with Silicon Valley people before now, and now I get why so many projects are abandoned and rewritten when they could just use open source. The whole culture is promo driven.
When courage was required, Lindsey Graham always succeeded in failing to have any.
Why is that?
Sorry but the last people in the game industry that should be complaining are Blizzard. It's been what, a decade? since they've released a new property? How many Hearthstone card packs and Diablo 4 expansions can they milk out of customers before they finally just shut the whole thing down.
I know it's cliche, but what are the thousands of people that work there doing all day?
Their co-founder (not just an employee) is bankrolling a party that’s leader has called for the expelling of all immigrants. This fact is not in dispute.
Thanks that makes sense.
Does Proton keep logs? I’ve heard good things.
You can protect your “culture” without deporting all non-White people. If your culture can’t be protected without that, maybe that culture doesn’t need protecting.
Yeah I just expected better of Mullvad as a long standing customer. They seemed pretty politically neutral which I prefer.
Could you imagine how destroyed people like this would be if they faced actual adversity in life? Like if they had to live through the Spanish Flu, or the Great Depression, or hell even lose a loved one to something as now trivial to treat as tetanus?
Oh, the horror, having to type to a system that will do your job for you while you sit in an air conditioned office in a comfortable chair listening to a podcast while you work.
What a disappointment that was. The open world aspect was neat but the whole game could have been an indie production tech wise.
Petition by resigning. Tomorrow. Stop supporting this company.
What has Trump done that makes a meaningful positive difference in the lives of people making less than $250k/year?
while I’d say that was true in most elections, this one the choices for the future couldn’t be more stark. The dude just had a UFC on the white house lawn, for instance, and fell into the Iran/Israel trap every previous president had avoided. But yeah, Kamala and Trump are the same level of turdness /s.
Half of Americans voters elected Trump. Most people are idiots, I wouldn’t use that as a gauge yet.
I challenge a CEO to just post the translation instead of the garbage they usually spew.
If they don’t support Steam Deck (basically a proxy for Linux support), I don’t play them.
Because Democrats are held to different standards. I mean just look at the last year.
If anything I think that demonstrating how worthless all this “war materiel” is, well it s a good thing. Can we please cut “defense” spending in half and just let me keep more of my own money or better yet stop going into so much debt?
Games with kernel anti-cheat.
This one’s easy, if they don’t support Steam Deck (basically a proxy for Linux support), I don’t play them.
Just install Ubuntu already (if it supports the apps you need, most of which probably have web versions) and be done with it. Ubuntu 26.04 had a significantly better install experience than Windows 11.
Wonder how big the payoff will be.
It's literally the gulag,” one of the employees claims. “You have zero purpose in life all of a sudden, you barely interact with anyone, you just have these tasks every week." Another employee describes some of the tasks—generating puzzles to test how reliably AI models from Meta and other companies can solve them—as easy compared to the software development work they had been doing previously. But the new projects feel menial, and “almost all” employees seem unhappy, they say. “Most people find the work soul-crushing,” the third employee says.
Then quit your fucking jobs you entitled assholes. You’d be shocked how many people would gladly do that for $300k/year.
Because dogs are awesome. Next question!
Simple. You strip out all the bullshit and don’t put a 100 kWh battery into it. There, I’ll await my check.
And it drives the mini-MENSAs of the world insane.
How many interviews have you been on that a round is 20 minutes?
I don’t want to put my future coworker through six rounds of interviews. If it takes more than three rounds + a phone screen to figure out if someone is a good fit then the process is broken.
Maybe have some respect for yourself and others and opt out of working at Meta.
