Seems interesting but I would like a laser version of this. Not ever going back to inkjet.

I do not think this is the right way. The right way would be for Apple to allow for a free Developer ID for distribution if the app is free and has no in-app purchases.

This provides IMO all-around goodwill while still adhering to good release practices.

Saw this in an another thread previously and immediately installed it.

I have a new prompt to test LLMs much like simonw's pelican test.

"What is 9:30am Taiwan time in US, Pacific?" For some reason, the answers are quite inconsistent but all wrong.

./apfel "what is 9:30am Taiwan time in US, Pacific?"
Taiwan is 12 hours ahead of the Pacific Time Zone. Therefore, 9:30 AM Taiwan time would be 9:30 PM Pacific Time.
Taiwan is 13 hours ahead of the Pacific Time Zone. Therefore, 9:30 AM in Taiwan is 10:30 PM in the Pacific Time Zone.
Taiwan is in the China Standard Time (CST) zone, which is 12 hours ahead of the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone. Therefore, 9:30 AM in Taiwan is 9:30 PM in the Pacific.
Taiwan is typically 11 hours ahead of the Pacific Time Zone. Therefore, 9:30 AM in Taiwan is 8:30 PM in the Pacific Time Zone.
Taiwan is 13 hours ahead of the Pacific Time Zone. Therefore, 9:30 AM in Taiwan is 10:30 PM the previous day in the Pacific Time Zone.

One thing I discovered tonight is that it appears smaller models are remarkably bad at converting time between timezones.

I tested the following using almost all available models on Locally and did not get a single model that got the right answer.

"What is 9:30 am (Taiwan Standard Time, TST) in US Pacific?"

I wonder if Comma.ai will ever be open to incorporating this into openpilot.

I always thought the argument that humans are adequate drivers and hence only cameras was not great. Why not actually be better than humans at sensing and driving?

There is no support for ed25519 host keys (confirmed using ssh-audit). Would be nice to have though.

As an aside, you should use ssh-audit to get recommendations for what to disable as far as less than ideal options/configs go.

I saw a TikTok of someone saying that farmers are not stupid (due to the wide variety of skills to successfully farm) and were just betting on Trump not actually going through with tariffs.

It's hard to have any sympathy for such cynical behavior while simultaneously asking for handouts. Especially since the same people probably voted against others getting social services.

It also hurts when I drop the iPad mini on my face. In fact, I was considering getting a Pro Max to replace both a iPhone Pro and iPad mini combo but figured it might too big of a compromise.

I wonder if anyone has successfully gone down this path.

It would sure be nice to have some standardized conventions around this. AGENTS.md etc. It seems insane to have to have multiple files/rules for essentially the same goals just for different tools.

I have been a Resilio Sync user for a while but find it increasingly fragile and prone to randomly breaking. Reconnecting always seems to be a roll of the dice if something gets deleted and I suppose this is a good time to figure out if there are better alternatives.

Syncthing on iOS still seems to be iffy so I'd be interested if Sink can help fill in this space eventually.

Super random but I seem to remember that you were working on/testing a different time device/prototype recently in a GitHub comment.

Can you perhaps refresh my memory? Been trying to find the reference and it's driving me nuts this am. Thanks.

I don't know if your tool already does this but it would be helpful if there is an option to output the version as a comment of the form

action@commit # semantic version

Makes it easy to quickly determine what version the hash corresponds to. Thanks.
