I find every project of this nature so so beautiful and incredible. Congrats.

Checking out the initial request on github for this feature I wonder why is this necessary? What access to the local network does the browser provide, or need to provide, and why isn't this something developers are more concerned about? I had a feeling this was possible as I see lots of mdns requests when I connect to certain things running sockets.
This looks good for introductory theory. see also GNU Solfege
This is brilliant, thanks for making public and best wishes

Maintaining an AUR package can be great fun and an instructive glimpse into what FLOSS maintainers go through.
Just put it all in stored procedures. What could go wrong?
Execution env is the achille's heel of scripting languages. Personally I don't use Neovim, but had a feeling its adoption would spur development in this area for Lua. Bryan Cantrill called Javascript "LISP in C's clothes". In some ways I feel like Lua is the opposite, and love it for those reasons (disclaimer: never had to use it at work).
Also, 2 APS is hardly competitive in this game.
Boiling take: Myspace doesn't get enough historical heat for walling the blogosphere while simultaneously Eternal-Septembering it.
A lot of people who have apparently never stepped foot in a recording studio are replying to you. Pre-plugin era was exactly about this. Drive the DAC and manage writes to the disk without introducing (much) latency so tracking can get done. Perhaps no one who uses this will intend to setup more than one microphone.
We disclosed SLAP to Apple on May 24, 2024, and FLOP on September 3, 2024
one sticking point for GNU users can be that BSD utils are more strict about positional order of e.g filename parameter and input options. rm ~/foo -rf || rm -rf ~/foo
I was forced to get used to BSD syntax when I switched to MacOS but now I prefer it...
Anecdote: This became a problem for me with several apps after installing Sequoia
A comment before the problematic line can specify options to shellcheck, (e.g)
# shellcheck disable=SC2086
which remain valid within that block.
Of course, disabling the linter should be done with deliberation...
Blogspam singularity is imminent. Also: this 'article' is from 2016.
echo "printf '\n'" >> ~/.config/fish/functions/fish_right_prompt.fish....
Can't argue with you there, even Windows has a package manager now.
Desktop linux has some market share in hollywood, I would think that market does matter to them as it did SGI etc.
I understand why you're getting downvoted but I also am in some form of agreement with the sentiment/hope they don't lose sight that they are pretty much keeping the dream of the consumer UNIX vendor alive.
Not my project. Curious as to how this is implemented...
Holy, this is the first place I downloaded the LAME encoder from when I was a pre-teen. Cheers
I find appropriations of the term "brutalist" strange in software contexts. In the architectural sense of brutalism wouldn't it mean limiting software construction to a single material (type, class, whatever) and leveraging that limitation to enhance other parts of the design (flow, modularity). In this way I think shell scripts are the most brutalist way of programming, ironically the author would probably agree.
The desktop and iOS apps (and integration of e.g Doordash with the Maps API) are great
I love Apple Maps and use it every day in NYC. Hope they will make it require a slightly longer press to drop a pin. I can't be the only user accidentally doing this ~a dozen times a week. Happened just now in the browser, trying to drag the view. Rooting for the product.
I still pray for some advancement that can actually repair the cause (damaged hearing) rather than the symptom (tinnitus).
[EDIT]: Ok... The cause in my personal case.
Some of the jazz examples are apparent to me to have been trained on texts like Roots & Herbs, Sonny Side Up, classic post-bop records.
Apropos of nothing: one frustration with being a recording jazz artist is that most of the canon is property of UMG.
I appreciate how in image searches, you appear to be filtering dupes.
Isn't a second now officially defined as a single period of atomic decay of a certain atom (I think Cessium?)? So this theoretical near-lightspeed craft could adjust it's accelerators based on an onboard atomic clock that would not be based on seconds as we tend to perceive them, but on SI seconds. I assume these would be getting longer as velocity approached 1c. Unless radioactive decay is also affected by relativity (obviously I am not a scientist), in which case of course that wouldn't work.
The majority of people I know don't remember or care what Chelsea Manning's leaks actually contained. Or that she exists.
I'm sorry about your friends. My dad has lost at least one, been hit no fewer than 5 times (none his fault), and gone down one other time (lowsided at Deal's Gap). Miraculously he is still alive. This post probably makes him sound much more reckless than he really is. He is the most cautious person I know, probably due to these experiences.
