i have a filter for this kind of thing in the era of greedmaxxing (get rich quick schemes that are not new but change shape pretty often these days) - be a late adopter.

I did exactly the same some 16-17 years ago, when they forced windows 8 square design bullshit and announced that they'll ditch 7. Never looked back.

Windows servers are still pretty good imho.

What's wrong with VanillaJS? Absolutely nothing, we all love it, and we also love things built upon that foundation, like TypeScript. But it's optional, and that's a good thing that some people miss to recognize. Therefore, they seek more standardization that 'should be enforced' by your Big Brand's top used product (ie. browser).
