I recall a story where the Brits would report V2 hits in locations far away from where they actually hit, and German intelligence communicated this to the targeting teams who then amended the V2 flight courses rendering them essentially moot.
Should I be butthurt at Carmacks approach to AGI (10:58)? I feel like I know enough of the risks but not enough of what Carmack is attempting.
We've had limits placed on human genome experimentation, but it seems the ability for 'independently wealthy empowered actors' to descend to supercomputers in their basement and make the decision for us on AGI progress is beyond reproach.
Does Carmack go into depth anywhere about his area of focus?
Full disclosure: These videos are the extent of my AGI risk knowledge lol. https://www.youtube.com/c/RobertMilesAI/videos
I wish him all the best. 4channers are obsessive and wouldn't hesitate to ruin his life or doxx him years after he left. I recall how careful he had to be when we was admin, even having people doxx his mother, following him home from the subway etc. I think it reflects really well on his character how he managed to leave that stuff behind. Sometimes I wonder if there was some sort of government entity setting him up for a new life in return for handing over the keys.
He certainly has it in him for another startup, his name alone could still generate hype (or attacks) on anything he creates. YC should keep their ears peeled.
I hope one day he agrees to a lengthy in-depth interview or documentary.
Dave Ackley is using cellular automata for new computational architectures.
Its really cool stuff and you'll no doubt love it if you're keen on that stuff. He's also got a youtube channel under his name that is really worth checking out.

Is that house in the first image made of plywood?
Why don't they have them tick like clocks so it actually stops at a floor?
This is really intriguing but its kinda flying over my head as to why, and the comments on the tweet are very speculative. I'm still gonna try to cop a DVD-ROM drive if I can find one, they all seem to be RW.

You can't withdraw your crypto, you must sell then withdraw the cash.
Why wouldn't you just hide it or ignore it?
I find it concerning that Greenwald's most recent article was flagged.

Do you have a theory for why they're being pushed off? Are these due to having keywords that are downweighted or sinister VC conflicts of interest?

Reddit is such an authoritarian shithole
The entire frontpage looks like it is curated by some propaganda department & megacorps acting like their posts with 1000k upvotes aren't advertisements
You haven't provided any evidence that the statistical evidence is all based on false premises or that most of it is hearsay. You yourself credited the impartiality of a few articles you must've read. I understand that its unreasonable to ask you to go through all the evidence (despite your claim all the statistical evidence is based on false premises) but what you see is what half the country thinks of when they see the election results. There were serious documented issues around the 2020 election and the site collates evidence of that.
Think for a second back to 2016 and disturbing claims of Russian interference. That is what Republican voters feel like today. The shoe is on the other foot and now is your chance to steelman them or gloat and cover your eyes.
Statistical, material, photo, audio and video evidence isn't good enough? The sheer breadth of it all doesn't make you pause for a second?
I seriously think you should revisit the site or revisit your post.
Man the future is bleak for whites
Reminds me of the adage 'leftists procreate via propaganda'
This NFT stuff honestly blows my mind. I can understand investing in tokens with far off use-cases like GRT, PNK or even memecoins like DOGE but the way NFTs are being 'utilised' today is just incomprehensible to me.
I think the article could've been improved by mentioning legitimate use-cases for NFTs.

They got to abuse his constitutional rights and they pay his attorneys fees + $1 as recompense?
I think the first game engine to include NFTs by default is going to blow up big time
I wonder why anabolic steroids are illicit substances in most developed countries. Is it due to 'roid rage' and other side effects? I thought development of SARMs were bypassing most of these issues.

30% of Australia's rainforests have been destroyed. Flying from Brisbane to Cairns was just heart-breaking, to see the roads criss-crossing everywhere and the estates going up in the middle of pristine rainforest. I'd wager 75% is degraded. The national parks were theme parks pre-corona.
That was in regards to following the diary step for step - Farmers plowing food back into the fields, enactment of minimum wage laws, booming house prices followed by a massive crash with nobody attending auctions, booming stock market with massive unemployment.
In addition to supposedly paying them minimum wage - the farmers employ a racket where they charge the poor souls exorbitant rates to stay on the farm as it is rural and there is no other accommodation thereby bringing the effective minimum wage down significantly.
