From a product perspective: We use Zenefits and it's pretty awesome. From a startup perspective: I think they've given up the "growth at any cost" mentality which caused the drama few years back.

I think it could hurt their image in the long-term. I've already seen others complain here and there about the pushy narrative, they just need to be more subtle about it. Again, I'm using DDG and want them to expand so I want what's best for them!

I worked for a fully-remote company for two years. One of the major issue with remote is the loss of communication and spontaneous conversations. Our company did a good job by having mandatory, regular Slack meetings and get-togethers every 6 months. But then again, you can't replicate those "water cooler conversations" or "lunch break brainstormings"...

At the end of the day you are accepting a bit of a tradeoff between cost/talent availability and communication bandwidth.

The opt-in/opt-out arguments is a valid one and DDG IS my primary search engine and I love it. BUT, I must say this pseudo-activisim by DDG has become too much now, they're building this pure and altruistic image whereas obviously they will directly benefit from regulation and hurting Google!

Serious question: has our ability to detect deepfakes improved with our ability to create them?

You could also find something that is not being done perfectly or it is dominated by one player but has potential for niche expansion. Random example: accounting software for dry cleaners...

Unfortunately, discrimination against overweight people exists and is well-documented; however, as an overweight person, I doubt this type of discrimination is as common as others such as racism... At least I haven't experienced it as often.
