how do y'all feel about AI-generated tests? I gave it a shot with ChatGPT on a side project and it saved me a ton of hassle. Like, I wouldn’t have written those tests myself. Trust-wise, I was still a bit iffy on refactoring, but hey, better than no tests at all. Overall, seems like a win for low-risk stuff.

Netflix replacing every cable channel? That’s a bit out there. Cable’s got the hookup on some real niche stuff that streaming can't touch yet—like specific sports channels, local news, and those obscure hobby shows.

Plus, the economics don't really mesh; cable and streaming rake in cash differently. And let’s not forget, not everyone's internet is zippy enough for streaming to take over completely.

Netflix is making moves, no doubt—snagging WWE shows they’re stepping into the live game, but they aren’t about to kill cable TV just yet. They’re just beefing up their own space.

Since I can't see your post, can't share my opinion about that. In my case it was not shown because of posting the content from same domain as previous post. Say, if you used medium for your self-promotion content, if you post medium again (non-promotion) it doesn't show to others.

There are numerous reasons why posts are not publicly shown. Email hn@ycombinator.com to ask about yours if you like. You can enable "showdead" in your profile settings to be shown these hidden posts and submissions.

If your post is not marked as [dead] then it's mostly the reason that you're promoting only your own content. I faced the same challenge and got to know after email them.

I noticed I was ending up landing social media or hacker-news :D spending hours every-time I picked up my phone for a call(there're a lot in this work from home situation).

And then after spending a day, going through a lot of spam! I noticed this app on App Store called "Connecton". I'm surprised why was it hard to find it.

One of the things that was making me less productive was - ending up scrolling social media every-time I was taking a call on phone(android). What I did to boost it? I used an app that let me make/receive phone calls on my Mac. :D (the app I use is called "Connecton")

Finally a non-spam handsfree app for this work from home situation. I'm able to search and call from my Samsung S10+ using my laptop. However, I need to enable the notification permission once on Catalina, I request developer to add Accept/Reject call from notification like we get on Facetime and other apps. Thanks for making this.

According to a recent research these are the few things that makes attrition rate high : 1. Political Culture (mostly depends on middle and upper managers). 2. Lack of motivation. 3. No growth and less salary. 4. No sense of ownership and flexibility. 5. People screwing up things for credits.
