As you suggested, I think this is a great way to expose your data to apps that may be built on top of you.

Also, a stalker would love this :P

In today's day and age I think its reasonable. Even when I bought it, I knew I could download it online and use the same license key. That was an option until Adobe released the new CS6. Further, this download is still available to you if you bought the digital download. What I couldn't understand is why they would not provide the same service to a customer who buys via DVD.

If you can afford it, then I would recommend spending more on a designer as well. My circumstance puts in me a position in which I can't afford to spend more than $20-$25. I assume that there are more people in such a circumstance. These are tips and tricks where you are trading your time to lower your expense on graphics.

However, I do believe that there are enough people around the world who can communicate easily and can understand what you are trying to do. I have worked with people all over the world and have been very happy with the outcomes.

Yup. Feedback plays an important role in iterating over your designs. You want to get a designer who is open to taking feedback. You also want to make sure that they have a strong vision and are not afraid to put their foot down if needed

To build a client is relatively straight-forward. It should take you between 4 - 8 weeks of development work depending on the number of screens you will be need. You need to add some time for Graphics but you could do this in parallel.

Or you could buy a template and work on top of it which should save you some time http://www.binpress.com/app/social-iphone-app-design-templat... http://www.binpress.com/app/social-share-iphone-app-template...

There are many flavors of location based social apps. Unlike the other apps, shoutt aims to solve people's everyday problems by connecting people based on what they need. So it puts you first. With respect to the chicken and egg problem, we plan to start city by city.

Tennis was an example of why you wanted to reach out to people around you. Expanding on that thought, we believe there is tremendous value is connecting with the people around us. Right from asking question, advice, recommendations and borrowing stuff to finding people who live/work around us and share a similar interest - like jamming or something else.

Thanks for your feedback. We've thought of these issues before and we are tackling them . Shoutting for help or security is a great use case but one that can be easily abused. We want to make sure we take precautions from people crying wolf too many times.

Your story reminds me of how I got my first job. I was about to head home and right before the elevator I saw an older gentleman trying to dismantle a stall, the kind you see at job fairs. I stopped and offered help. He took me up on my offer and we exchanged a brief conversation. Then I left. The next day I had a job interview. And guess who was the interviewer. My good friend who I had helped was the VP of recruitment. My interview went well and that's how I ended up out here in California.

Cheers to you mate. Good read.
