I can't recommend this enough. I'd lost weight before, but could never keep it off. Biking helped me sustainably lose 30 pounds. I also get to be even more smug than Prius owners.

You are arguing against something that no one is proposing. Cross-country rail trips rarely make sense. Short haul high speed rail trips are faster than plane flights (plus security, baggage checking, commuting to and from far-flung airports, etc) and pollute less. You're complaining about a $500 trip that no one is going to take. Try comparing Acela trips with flights between those cities.

When my credit card expired, Linode deactivated my account and never responded to my emails after that. If I had data that I needed on that machine, I would've lost it forever.

They're cheap, so I still use them for personal projects, but personally, I'd never trust my business with them.

Speaking of bugs, pages don't load for me when I'm logged into my real account (without the 2). The front page cuts off after "1.</td><td><center>" and comments pages cut off right after the first sub-table opens. The leaders and submit pages load fine.

I thought it was just a sign that I should get back to work, but maybe my account got put into some sort of inconsistent state?
