But clearly the data exposes their duplicity.

If you have not noticed there was rioting in Sweden, attacks on Easter parade in Spain, and multiple counts of riots and attacks on Hindu processions in India.

Perhaps it is a correlation between hunger and anger, or perhaps the more regular congregation is convenient opportunity for riots.

Evangelists, Colonialist, Colonial apologists & Leftists have a perverse incentive in theorising & establishing a framework linking caste to Indians & Hindus along with exaggerations and hiding equally bad or worse examples from Europe.

It would only be fair to look at the opposing views and reject or reevaluate theories that are on thin ice.

Jati & Varna are two separate ideas, "Indian caste system" is an import and a framework trying to combine the two.

Why do we keep using the word "caste", when we talk about Jati. A lot of Jatis do not see themselves as lower & upper and there are thousands of Jatis so no one is carrying around a dictionary to see where they stand.

People rarely talk ever about "their" varna and the vast majority do not see themselves or their jati falling into a specific varna.

70% of the temples in Tamil Nadu have priests from the Jati that built the temple and non-brahmins, there falls the idea "Brahmins" exclusively being the priestly class.

So anyone married to someone from the same race is racist?

No, caste is derived from the Portuguese word "Castas" which was widely prevalent in Europe and very rigid as it was from the church.

Some European countries still legally protect a lot of family names, which you would have to buy if you need a fancy royal name.

  3. Brahmins are extraordinarily successful academically.
  4. Jains are successful businessmen.

In the case of [4] it is survival bias, being a true Jain is very hard and only the rich elite could adhere to it.

Some communities in India have had a head start or rather the barbaric colonial rule had pulled down much of the population to abject poverty and gave few people not in abject poverty a head start.

Equally there is a special hate campaign against Brahmins emanating from church as they are seen as guardians of high culture and scriptures.

As a vast majority of Indians have not converted to Islam or Christianity in spite of the hostile foreign occupation anywhere between 400 to a 1000 years, I can safely say we are all warriors and the last surviving major ancient civilisation.

The caste-debate is a two way street and is mostly kept alive by few vested interests. Among the youth it is mostly the "reservation" that exposes them to "Caste politics", as online education & private sector picks up it is going to be less relevant.

To be fair to Brahmins, as non-brahmin with a brahmin-like first name from Tamil Nadu I have been at the receiving end of the political-church driven hate campaigns that even teachers take part in.

I think we should not tolerate any kind of hate especially hate campaigns, esp. for the younger generation.

US foreign policies are sometimes driven by lobbying and vote banks.

"Human rights abuse" is a policy arm of the US clearly used as a weapon against hostile rivals.

It is a clear message to Indians that the US does not consider them an ally.

And that the US will continue to back and use its arms in India - Church, Media, Academia, Leftist groups to destabilise, and support secessionist movements with an intent to eventually weaken or break up the country.

Sometimes it appears as if the US does things just because it can, this is definitely a big blunder in foreign relations.

It is possible that a lot of it was done at the province level.

There are incentives to both under report & over report (to get more resources allocated).

Forget automation or the complexity of language or interpretation, use of slang.

Simply put social media should not be monitoring content other than graphic ones where it is clearly a violation.

It is only expected to take down content based on government or court orders.

One of the reasons why I have a big problem with social media moderating content is that it provides perverse incentives for the stronger party to stifle freedom of speech. A lot can be left to interpretation.

It is a bit hypocritical for the west to expect India to act as a client state while NATO states like Germany continue to buy Russian gas.

While NATO had placed sanctions on Iran, we had to pay for our oil imports through German banks, so a bit unsure if the German would ever leave money on the table.

Corruption in India like in many excolonies was once a morally legitimate way to escape draconian colonial barriers to basic rights.

As India has continued to inherit these institutions it would be hard to just reform it, it would have to completely replace it with digitization and stripping laws of unnecessary complexities.

At least the center had made great progress wiping out entire sections of colonial era laws.

If you can not see through how people with rifles are going to defeat the world's second or third strongest military.

It is not like the Russians have a logistics disadvantage, they are literally surrounding Ukraine.

As much as I might be disillusioned, the very fact of pressing citizens to carry rifle, and making them believe they are "winning" is my definition of human shield.

It is fool hardy to believe that the Russian forces are "not militarily capable" of doing to Ukraine what the US did in Iraq. Reduce cities to rubble, given the logistical advantage compared to what the US did in Iraq.

I guess their objectives are pretty straight forward and since they are ethnically same as the Ukrainians do not target civilians.

What worries me is the use of civilians as human shields, even reports of Indian students being locked up by the Ukrainian forces to be used as human shields.

Let us remember that the US was ' ' close to carpet bombing Cuba during the cuban missile crisis. If you share borders with a regional superpower, stop dreaming about getting in bed with their enemies, let alone military ties.

TLDR;

Every major school or lineage originating from Sanathana Dharma insists on the importance of a guru's guidance and/or initiation. Yet people decide to ignore it and think Apps can/should replace a guru.
