Unfortunately, between today and 3 years ago, Google search is returning the assuming of a meat based diet. I could easily find correlations between food and nutrients evaluating how my body would function. Today, it's harder to find good information on the topic. Now it's just noise or my googling ability has failed me.

Grains and fermented food for breakfast. Snack throughout the day on high fat veggies/lean meats/nuts. Dark leafy greens and protein for dinner. Eat at least two servings of fruit a day. Above all, if you have a craving, eat it, but reduce the quantity.

At first I defended the Facebook buyout because it seemed like a logical move. I feel Oculus was pressured into the buyout because valve was about to kill them. Truth is, Carmarck joining the team made it all that much sweeter.

If you read through the lines of some of Palmer's communications, it's obvious that there is a rift between Oculus and Facebook that no one is talking about. Carmarck, being Carmarck keeps pushing even when the top tries to push you down. Reading the tweets, it's obvious that he remains focused on the technology, which is a good sign.

In the end, I think Oculus is facing a backlash because of the buyout, and their 'simular' to Origin approach rings bells of many gamers and how EA continues to alienate them.

Microsoft proved it could compete with the Xbox. Oculus just needs to change its game or get away from its overlord. Blizzard had some fallout with Diablo 3, it happens.

The real question for Oculus, now is, what is your next move?

Happens all the time to me. I have an interview and they probe for details on how to solve a problem. It is what it is. Two of the three companies I liked hired me the second time I interviewed for them. I'm a freelancer, so I move around a lot.

One of the major differences between a jr and a sr IMO, is their ability to tell you what each one of those dependencies solves. If they don't know the sub-dependencies by heart, they didn't read the code or at least look it up outside of understanding the API.

Than you have the maintenance developer, and everyone loves 'em. He just figures things out and helps you improve your code while you scream at him for not knowing the 'bigger picture'. Fun times.

There was a moment were I wanted to quit. Then like most things, I accepted it for what it was and moved on. My current focus is saving enough money to go back to school and get a Ph.D in Mathmatics. I need another 300k saved before I can do it with my family.

The effect of education. The effect of proper diet. The effect of someone following their own path in the field of Mathmatics, Medicine, or Science on society as a whole. How long it truly takes to learn a language when it is your singular focus as an adult.

It's a culture thing. The trick is to keep from disrupting the conversation flow. - Some natural languages outside of English are meant to interrupt the speaker. A community with a mind is less worried about finishing a thought vs an individual who wants to be heard by the community. - Who ever convinced you you are annoying is just pushing their ideology onto you and you're allowing it to affect you.

I have to say, after inheriting a code base from Max(@mxcl), its sad that anyone would reject him. Hes pretty much the guy that gave me the first sane introduction to cacoa programming. - That being said, I was rejected from a company because I hadn't used binutil in python. - I find I can pass any interview with a confident low voice more consistently than by showing my technical expertise. - People are interested in how well you assimilate into the culture of the workplace. Sometimes, that workplace culture needs to evoluve to include a more eclectic dev-background, or they risk alienating talented people. Alas, sometimes that evolution is not nessicary or its just to early for the company. - I've seen this happen to good devs and I've been on the receiving end of it. - Hiring isn't fun; you have to find someone who understands who you are. Inheriting trust is a lot faster then building trust and I find most companies don't have the time (sometimes ability ) to build that trust.

The following book, the first 3 chapers explores the bio chemistry of the microbes. Citing research not as much as the other book I recommended, but has a solid base to understand your gut bacterium.

Hah, the shakyness of the grammer is a clear indication of the pressure I 'feel' like I'm under. My readmes are simple and to the point, I expect the reader to understand the cli and to explore the codebase. I don't spend much time communicating the architecture for the fact that I know I will litter it with grammatical errors. Instead, I write comments for every algorithm I compose.

Alas, your reluctance is a result of my poor education and forced isolation pushed upon my by an institution. Something that takes a lot of patience of mine to force myself to understand people that I classify you with; will not understand because they too have been through this gauntlet, but have had better guidance than I.
