It's looks like they literally cloned the UI and graphics from the Mini Metro/Mini Motorways games (not just the map style).

The vast majority of companies are still putting most things in the cloud and will continue to do so and this far outnumbers the must-be-on-premise companies.
Sure there will be self-hosters but hosting AI models will always be more of a challenge than running scalable database on your own hardware and specialized hyperscalers will be here.
Reminder that by using Bitlocker, you're using a closed source encryption for which Microsoft will happily hand out your recovery key on request.

UBlock Origin is also giving me the warning on that domain.
Only the 31b is Gemma.
All the rest - including 9B - are Qwen 3.5/3.6:

Pi Coding Agent would be great also.
Ghostty-web exists and is even API compatible with xterm.js (same engine that powers Ghostty):
https://github.com/coder/ghostty-web/
In fact, it looks like wterm's 12KB plugin doesnt offer full term emulation and uses ghostty to support everything else:
Node-based editors are not new.
The Arc homepage is clearly vibe slop but with 75 nodes and backend supposedly coded in C, it looks to me like it would have taken a couple of months to get here at least, certainly not a release within 1 week of Youtube-person's mention.
It doesn't seem to be open source unfortunately.
Lastpass has had multiple large breaches, especially after LogMeIn bought them out
This feels like deja-vu with Lastpass.
LogMeIn buys Lastpass, multiple massive breaches occur[, people move to Bitwarden].
Just checked since you made me curious. With 1 PHP and 1 nodejs project in 2 windows, here's the usage (on Ubuntu Linux):
Zed is using:
- CPU: 4.7%
- RSS: ~2.1 GB
The bulk of it is language servers (TypeScript/tsserver is adding ~600MB). Zed by itself is ~790MB RAM.I only installed it today for the first time but yes it does have a very prominent button to completely disable all AI.
Even Sonnet 4.6 is 9x multiplier (previously 1x)!
The only model I even used on Copilot was Sonnet and now its got a ridiculous multiplier.
At this point they might as well just charge per Million tokens like every other provider instead of having a subscription.
It's not just the price of the console itself as mentioned in the article. Things like the Playstation and Xbox require a *very* expensive SDK.
Playdate's SDK is free.
You should really look at the 2nd link, its much worse than telemetry..
opencode will proxy all requests internally to https://app.opencode.ai
There is currently no option to change this behavior, no startup flag, nothing. You do not have the option to serve the web app locally, using `opencode web` just automatically opens the browser with the proxied web app, not a true locally served UI.

It looks like the author has kept it updated since then.
They mention the "Qwen3.5 (35B)" model for example which was released around 2 weeks ago.
Lossless-cut has both an HTTP api and a CLI so it could be controlled via a lightweight TUI if someone wanted.
They may but note that this isn't an official Newgrounds project - this is just a user ("Bill") posting on his own Newgrounds blog that he has made this (its not Newgrounds' official blog).
Yep, the email they sent out is terribly worded so it looks like the age requirement is for Zed itself.
Their actual blog ( https://zed.dev/blog/terms-update ) says the age requirement is only for their AI service (still not the best wording but a little clearer):
Age requirement. You must be 18 or older to use Zed’s AI-enabled software-as-a-service offering (the “Service").
I really hope more people realize that local LLMs are where it's at
No worries, the AI companites thought ahead - by sending GPU, RAM, and now even harddrive prices through the roof, you won't have a computer to run a local model.
What model and hardware powers this?
Is this a Google T5 based model?
Works fine for me in Firefox 147.
Local models are quite capable. Obviously a 4B model isn't going to do the job of a trillion parameter SOTA model but there are many local models that are both fast and very usable for these agentic flows.
Qwen 30B and GLM Flash (also around 30B) are both very good for example and I use them regularly.
Thanks for being part of the discussion. Almost every response from you in this thread however comes off an unyielding, "we decided this and it's 100% right"?
In light of this vulnerability, the team may want to revisit some of these assumptions made.
I guarantee the majority of people see a giant modal covering what they're trying to do and just do whatever gets rid of it - ie: the titlebar that says 'Trust this workspace?' and hit the big blue "Yes" button to quickly just get to work.
With AI and agents, there are now a lot of non-dev "casual" users using VS code because they saw something on a Youtube video too that have no clue what dangers they could face just by opening a new project.
Almost noone is going to read some general warning about how it "may" execute code. At the very least, scan the project folder and mention what will be executed (if it contains anything).
Most people don't think Windows 11 is an improvement over 10.
There's a lot of people that actually started migrating to Mac / Linux when Windows 10 went EOL recently.
Looks like they're selling an N150 based "Mini PC" for $500.
You can get a very similar 16GB RAM, 1TB storage Minipc in the same form factor from Amazon for around $260 so looks like you're paying almost twice the price for the NAS-type software?
I'm not sure how usable neovim will be in what looks to be a 6 line high window as they show in the demo video.
It's nice that they mention node-pty that does most of the heavy lifting for the terminal/pseudo-tty that powers this (VSCode's terminal emulator is powered by the same library).
It looks like they've added a layer on top of node-pty to allow serializing/streaming of the contents to the terminal within the mini-terminal viewports they're allocating for the terminal rendering. I wonder if they're releasing that portion as open source?
Maybe they value the training data?
Yep I have that setting disabled so the number of providers for that model on Openrouter currently is 0 for me.
I guess I'll wait for a 3rd party provider on Openrouter that doesn't log DS 3.2.
