That isn't what they said, and it's probably not what they meant.

What they probably meant was that Nintendo testers use their non-dominant hands to simulate someone who has no prior experience with video game controls. (Though I'm not sure exactly what that would mean. Maybe OP meant they use "backwards" controllers with all the buttons swapped?)

I could be wrong, but doesn't notepad++ have an option to choose which symbols are considered a part of a word? If it's not notepad++, I'm thinking of xed.

That would help with at least a part of this person's complaints, like the underscore being considered a part of the word. But it kind of seems like they want the text editor to just read their mind, sometimes considering a symbol as part of a word and sometimes not.

They can probably do anything, but why would they when Fandom puts 3 gigabytes of their ads on every page of every wiki on their site? That's their bread and butter. You don't kill your livestock until you have to.

They even expand the acronyms later in the article.

That's the OPPOSITE of how you're supposed to use acronyms. If you're going to spell it out anyway, why not do it the first time you talk about it like you're supposed to?

I read "submarine cables" and imagined a sort of monorail or guide-wire for an underwater vehicle. I thought, "I guess that makes sense, that'd probably be cheaper or safer than an untethered submarine".

It's funny how "good" the brain is at rationalizing misconceptions like that.

If I hadn't read a couple comments to try and see why Africa (or anyone) would need a safety-rope-assisted underwater submarine I might have gone on assuming that was just a normal thing.

It absolutely will. They will not be able to participate in almost all modern social interactions. Like, yeah, they will be able to talk to their friends, but only when at school and at sleepovers.

And even then, being excluded from having normal access to a phone still isolates them from "normal" people. Everyone pulls out their phone and all the phoneless person can do is either sit there in jealous silence like a loser or try to get everyone to stop playing on their phones when they're around them (also like a loser).

Overall not an ideal situation.
