Teleportation? Talking to beings from other planes? Walking through doors... How do you believe him? lol

I generally don't comment but I have to in this case:
Your wiki is absolutely motivating. I have spent close to 1h on it now and I'll be spending more. I will also be "stealing" from it!
Really great work there.
Source needed?
Well, it's more experimental than applied, bad word I guess. It could've been theorical, but it was experimental.
My MS was in astroparticle physics (applied). That means I am better suited for data science than for engineering stuff.
Weirdly enough, if I knew optics but no coding I would be in a better place than the one I am in right now, which is: I know (a little bit of) coding but no optics.
I have an MS in physics and I disagree with this. If you want opened doors, go for software engineering. You have so many things you can do with software, seriously.
I have finished my master's in November, and I have been looking for a job. I have not been very lucky so far. I am looking for data-science related stuff. If you have any suggestions, please, I am all ears. (I am in Europe)
There was a time when, if you had a degree in Physics, they'd throw money at you. That is no longer true.
Check out https://gitlab.com/mbajur/prismo/.
Where the hell is the source-code? Can't find it anywhere linked on the website..
Do you have a public instance? Does it federate yet?
Can you explain the 6 month thing to me? If I understand correctly, posts/comments older than 6 months get deleted, unless you decide to save it locally? Even if someone saves a post older than 6 months locally, others cannot see it, right?
That does not seem like a feature to me, and completely breaks geteather imo, sadly. Most of the good content on reddit is older than 6 months. Imagine if reddit decided to delete posts older than 6 months, jesus, every 6 months there would be a flood of the very same questions/posts/comments...
I tried setting up spacevim (edit: wrong! It was spacemac I used) a few days ago but gave up. I couldn't make auto-complete and snippets work.
Anyone knows how to make it work without having to spend hours? I was trying to make it work for python. Also, I want tab to be used.
EDIT: I am wrong. I tried setting up spacemac. I didn't know about spacevim.
I recently finished my Master's in Physics (with a minor in Applied physics, thesis in Astroparticle physics). I also have a BS in Physics. I've been looking for a job for a few months now and haven't found anything interesting.
Where do you guys search for jobs, in Europe? I was mainly looking for a Data-Science position, though I don't know ML yet (other than regressions ofc)
Twitter alternatives (mastodon), instagram alternative (pixelfed), reddit alternative (prismo.news)... Things are looking great!
What's been happening with getpocket.com? Pocket fails to make articles out of the latest articles I added. I need it so I can read stuff on my kobo, but it seems to be failing miserably lately.
Pocket fails to make an article out of this url.
We use contextual cues to help in recalling memorized information. If I learn/study about ABCD while listening to music FFF, I'll more easily recall ABCD while listening to FFF.
This is why I don't see "endlessly unique" as something inherently good. It would be cool, however, to play it for 1h (or so), save it and then re-play it whenever.
The "AP" in the title stands for Activity-Pub. The source-code is here: https://gitlab.com/mbajur/prismo/
Prismo (https://prismo.news/) will soon be opened to the public as far as I know. Code is on gitlab: https://gitlab.com/mbajur/prismo/
It is a project I've been following and seems pretty interesting. A federated reddit alternative, part of the fediverse.
Those other "random clients" (as you call them) exist because your desktop client is bad. And I am being nice by just calling it "bad", it is the least performant client I have ever come across, even counting other electron-based software.
Your site is really performant Bogdanp. Mind me asking if you use a paid host or something like netlify?
??? Shouldn't that be "electricity" instead? Even if smartphones are popular among a certain segment of people, it is nowhere close to being as mainstream as electricity which has revolutionized the way we use technology!
Is there some kind of sync mechanism? I couldn't see anything about account creation. You say "offline first". Is it not "offline only"?
You show 2 screenshots on your blog post. What app is that?
Correct me if I am wrong, but this is the same idea as spamgourmet.com, right?
According to the README of that project, it does not support snippets nor auto-complete yet. Seems to be very alphaish..
I wish there was a good GUI for nvim/vim. I've tried them all and they all lag, either just a cursor lag when there is syntax-highlight (gvim) or when using snippets/auto-complete (nvim-qt for example).
I haven't found a single good GUI for nvim/vim. If you have, please let me know.
I was wondering if there are any benefits (security wise) in using snap firefox (snapcraft.io) instead of firejail. Can anyone comment on this?
This looks great. I have two questions:
- Is this open-source? What is the license and where is the source-code?
- When can we expect a linux version?
I disagree with you. Encryption deals with privacy. Steganography deals with secrecy.
