The investigation produced 37 indictments; seven guilty pleas or convictions; and compelling evidence that the president obstructed justice on multiple occasions. Mueller also uncovered and referred 14 criminal matters to other components of the Department of Justice. Trump associates repeatedly lied to investigators about their contacts with Russians, and President Trump refused to answer questions about his efforts to impede federal proceedings and influence the testimony of witnesses.

It absolutely said Trump was connected to Russiagate and very much broke the law, Mueller was forced to shut down the investigation.

How does something like this happening not make people immediately realize that the Republican party is not working for the people anymore? I don't think Dems are doing a bang up job, but this is something developed and deployed, 100% working, that only helps the American people navigate a complicated tax system. The only reason to get rid of it is to hurt the American people.

They aren't even doing hardware well in some cases, their bread and butter.

Bluetooth has been broken on both editions of their Pro Max Phone (15 & 16). It cuts out and has all kinds of weird issues, but no fix has come for years now. This was why I always paid a premium for their phones, they did hardware and software well. Not anymore, their so focus has been on their processors.

Apple has had a Bluetooth software issues in ios 17 and 18 that makes both 15 Pro Max and 16 Pro Max randomly disconnect Bluetooth and all sorts of weird issues. They waited over a year to finally address it in 18.3, then proceeded to break Bluetooth now where it just all together disconnects over and over.

Apple has gone WAY down hill.

As a person who runs manufacturing in the US, this is our work culture too. Also the same at the other 3 previous places I have been at. The company culture asks for something, if it is not provided, you find someone who wants to be a part of that type of culture. There is an expectation to pay for it though.

Skype is now the backbone of O365 and what evolved into Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Phone System, and Microsoft Team Room Systems. It's literally gobbling up the market as we speak, forcing long time AV vendors to have to build distinctly Microsoft products. Poly, Logitech, Crestron, all massive players in the space, have to bow to Microsoft's requirements and build hardware carefully sized for Microsoft Teams Room interfaces. They are basically removing almost all the software from these companies and making them only hardware, they will eventually produce the hardware themselves as well.

Why? The main point of this is that E-bike batteries are a dime a dozen, built poorly, and hard to replace. Your Makita or better yet a Ryobi, uses their very specific battery that can be used in 50 different tools. The only real thing saved by making it replaceable like this would maybe be the plastic housing around the battery. Considering their batteries have all batteries under one shielding etc. there is less waste by doing it they way they already are as their batteries are universal to a bunch of their tools.

I have to say, it saved our ass a few months ago. Some hacker got access to one of multiple brands server infrastructure, started running PowerShell to weed through the rest and CrowdStrike notified us (the owning brand) that something was off about the PowerShell being ran. Turns out this small brand was running a remote in tool that had an exploit. Had Crowdstrike not been on that server we wouldn't have known until someone manually got in there to look at it.

People like to complain, that is why this is still a complaint.

There is only one situation where wired is needed: Charging and Listening at the same time.

Otherwise, people can still use wired headphones all they want, especially now with USB C headphones. Even charging and listening at the same time can just be done with a splitter.

The premise is just a talking point because people want to use AUX. Well I still want to use VGA, doesn't mean they should be putting them on video cards.

Steam Deck OLED 3 years ago

Epic has lots of games that aren't published to Steam. They seem to be doing fine.

Booking.com let someone create an account with my email address, register a room in Russia, then charge 20k a night for it. I called them the minute I saw it happening, they said they would take care of it. I still have the booking and the amount owed on the account (which I password reset and took control of).

So something is wrong with their system.
