When you take out a loan, you should pay it back. But I'm a conservative, so my views differ from most liberals.
Careful, if you say anything bad about liberalism/socialism, downvoting is a certainty...
What's new? While liberals proclaim themselves to be more tolerant than conservatives, my experience finds that when they are confronted by views that they disagree with, liberals can be the most intolerant people on the planet.
Typical lib -- tax and spend, but oblivious of the impact. This won't effect the rich or middle class, but will severely impact the poor and those just scraping by (many new ones under his watch). Aren't libs the ones who claim they are looking out for the poor? Not so much...
To seek out the highest rate of gun violence, look no further than gun-free zones in America.
Given the layoffs that are occurring around the country (from a shrinking economy to corporate consolidation and subsequent downsizing), this is troubling.
While it's true that India is a third world country, I'm surprised that so many want to get away from it rather than improve it.
But in the end, I think this will destroy the H1B system. Unshackling workers from employers (which allows them to abuse the employees since they can't move to other companies) will be its undoing.
You must be one of those tolerant liberals?
I'd actually rather see all the crazy shit she says and does. But I won't be offended and want to wipe it away from my mind or consider letting it affect my thinking.
BTW, I'm not a trump fan. But I am a fan of information, and this seems very questionable but apropos given recent happenings on college campuses (not wanting to hear opposing views).
LOL -- why challenge someone's ideas, let's just remove all traces of them so we don't have to see it. That's the liberal point of view. All opinions are valid, unless they disagree with them.
I encourage everyone to dig into this story a bit more. This family acted in a provocative way, and now they to attempt to punish the school and taxpayers.
Similar to dairy farmers and milk, when will incumbent diamond companies lay claim to the word "diamond" and sue to have them use a different name?
This can be fixed by forcing companies to pay H-1B's the same wage as local hires and allow them to quit and move on to other companies if they're unhappy. The benefit to companies would disappear, and so would H-1B.
Unions at one time were necessary, but are now nothing more than a funds-sucking entity that promotes a single political party.
Do you own TWTR? I think eventually Twitter will be acquired and integrated into a different social network. As for the OP's original point, they've never turned a profit, and I'd estimate that half of their accounts are inactive/fake.
There's probably an element of "creative destruction" in this. Time is a precious resource, and side-projects like anything else compete for your attention and time. I don't look at dead or dying side-projects as a bad thing, you have to make the best of this time given your goal.
Around 26 years ago, I developed firmware for geosynchronous satellites in a "safe" subset of Ada87. I still think it's a wonderful language and wish there were more opportunities to develop with it. Since then, I've worked solely in C and assembly.
LinkedIn is a site where recruiters can contact you (for a fee, through LinkedIn) disguised as a professional social networking site.
Older games were smaller because they were developed from scratch without use of bloated libraries and frameworks. While these allowed faster time-to-market, the come at the cost of extra baggage. Many were also developed in assembly, making them even smaller.
This has been going on for as long as I've been an engineer, 25+ years. You're free to work somewhere else; this is nothing close to slavery.
Remember, you get what you pay for.
Check out the fine print for what you're giving away here.
This also works on Twitter (try j, k, r, t, u, etc.).
Absolutely right. The $800 billion owed in tuition reimbursement, which will eventually be forgiven given the current climate, is the reason govt needs to stay out of education.
Why do people still talk about Bush, when Obama is the current U.S. president, and routinely kills people with drone strikes?
The right wing in the U.S. wants more control over immigration, not an end.
The real question is "How did we come to be so certain that open borders are our salvation?"
Wake me up when these idiot hackers finally destroy the last bits of freedom still available on the Internet.
For all you liberals out there who want to go after Bush, don't forget that Obama has been killing people indiscriminately with drone strikes. Something tells me you'll be less likely to go after him, indicating the real source of your outrage.
The CIA report was written solely by Democrats with an ax to grind, and sought no information from an opposing side.
Go back and watch any 9/11 news video (as it happened) and put yourself in the shoes of those who struggled to find direction during that time. I personally don't think torture is a good decision, but those in power did it out of precaution to identify possible future acts.
When the next terrorist attack occurs, please think about the bullshit you wrote here.
I worked on two geosynchronous communication satellites built on Ada (late 1980s using the TLD compiler). Both had a maximum of 48KB of ROM and 16KB of RAM. That included attitude control, command, telemetry, thermal/power management, fault manager, and little OS.
Since then, I've done pretty much nothing but C, but I do miss Ada's features from time to time.
What could possibly go wrong?
Here's a simple scripting language inspired by Apache Pig. It implements some of the most useful operators including FOREACH, FILTER, GROUP, SORT, in addition to the LOAD and STORE operators.
While it doesn't use Hadoop, you can run it standalone to process datasets using the Pig model.
