Defining schemas in zod and using z.infer<> to get my types is just lovely, thank you!

I'm working on a Dutch dictionary for immersion learning; https://hetnederlands.com. Structured outputs combined with react router renders a chain of thought on demand. With most "learners dictionaries", you're limited to the basic words. This enables getting a perfectly laid out learners dictionary explanation of any word in the entire language.

:)

just pure o4 mini in a sequence of prompts. I haven't done any fine-tuning or involved any dict api (yet), but the accuracy/quality can definitely be improved from there.

For dutch, I would use something like van dale or woordenlijst (het groene boekje), both have free online versions.

this comment actually prompted me to finally download and install the factorio demo, been hearing so many things about how it takes over lives! :)

Founder Mode 2 years ago

I have done the building in quite a few of these.

Often what happens is that the engineering that made it a cool demo in the beginning, is pushed aside, and once funding and a variety of product managers and sales people start chiming in, users and genuine value proposition is forgotten in favor of things that sound huge for the business, in theory. Not seen it materialize in practice yet.

Looks great! I've been looking to avoid rolling my own admin for my hobby project, which is mongo based, and very much driven on certain db schemas and collections. Adding CRUD and simple admin views to the mongodb will go a really long way, and the flex to throw in some react sounds great. Glad i found this!

I played apex legends for free for nearly a year before buying any silly cosmetics. Granted, now that i do i am hooked and have overall paid more than if i had paid 60 for apex to begin with, but i think its a good volontary subscription model. And since there isn't any pay to win aspect, i'm totally fine with this business model.

An intense psilocybin trip took me to the peak of it, I accepted it, and was then shown the other side, and how completely ridiculous it is. Once shown the path it still took me some time to walk it, but gradually in the 2 years that followed it faded.

I'm not saying the solution is psilocybin. I'm saying that the solution (for me anyway) is to put yourself in a position where you experience tons of social anxiety, and accepting that you are anxious, and not try and fight it, and feel it for what it is. An alternative could be public speaking training, like Toastmasters. If you keep going every week, you are destined to improve.
