If this is true then I think you should probably send out a nice letter to your customers and tell them that your refunding their money because Google is causing you grief, link to a blog post explaining the situation in details, and ask them to pay again via your new merchant provider. I think that if people saw the refund on their statement, then they'd pay again. Then you'd get something.

I think the lesson here is that you should never rely on a service / company who won't put any effort into customer support. I thought this was common sense?

How about selling a video version for those who don't know what to do. Download and install Captasia, Create a video that explains how to do it visually, and then put a link in your page to buy it for a small price. Also consider a PDF version with more screen shots and very percise instructions (supported with comments from your post) etc... But keep this post free as it's the launching pad. Also don't over sell it. Just be honest and say "EDIT: I noticed that this page is very popular so I made some suplimentary material that you might be interested in buying if you found this post hard to understand". Hell I'd even go so far as ask for donations.

But the trick is not to make it sound like your wanting to make a business on it. Then people won't be put off because honestly, you probably won't make a mint on this post. You'll probably see less than 1% of visitors monitizing.

The only equalizer will be applications online. Right now running web os apps suck compared to PC equivilents, but when they don't and people start using them instead of Office, or other programs, then who gives a rats ass what OS we use. We'll all be on dumb terminals and we won't give a shit. That will be Microsofts fall.....or will it? I heard somewhere that their office online product was way better than googles. I don't know.

Ok, Take any link and display the corresponding link in the web site's mobile enabled equivalent. Sort of like Bit.ly but with a mobile browser ability. Obviously this won't work for every site but a lot of major news sites have mobile versions. Take www.crackberry.com for example. They have a pc version and a mobile version but the links in the RSS feeds the links are always for the PC version. No auto switching if your viewing it from your Blackberry. So translate the PC links to link to their mobile site. That's it. Then users of the service can link to articles on crackberry.com but if they view it with a blackberry, it chooses the mobile site automatically.
