They've been doing that for years and always end up yielding to the web standard. Happened with webapps, happened with web push notifications (finally being released).

Hopefully they are not thinking the same for WebXR, if so, we'd be years away from getting it.

But I kinda suspect they are releasing WebXR along with their AR glasses

Long live web apps. It’s not that they need to be killed, it’s that they are evolving and need/urge to evolve more. With so many OS, HTML works perfectly to distribute one single source-code in all platforms. I see it the other way around, “web apps” are here to stay and evolve.

How do we now this isn't something that is being caused due to the female being suppressed in our history? This studies are biased due to the fact that females haven't been treated equally for centuries and this affects on how the female see the world, affecting the real meaning of the study.

It's like taking a male that you have treated emotionally bad and you tell him thru all his life he can't do this and that and a male where you tell him he must be strong, he must do this and that. Boths are males and I bet you will find the same differences between these two males and between a male and a female.

Oh, because we had a talk about all the places that he looked for and the Laundry was the only place he hadn't look for, he didn't remember he went there. In the activity visualizer you can tell how around 3:00am there was activity on the laundry zone twice. We knew for sure when they keys were lost, after he arrived home.

Could MacBook Pros (with Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB, to be more specific) train with GPU? I've always wanted to train algorithms but without using the GPU it is really slow.

I haven't launched completely, but it's been around 5 months since I started it. I'm building a visual-programming environment to build chatbots with pure drand and drop. Still lots of stuff to do, but I launched a successful beta.

You can see it in action: https://talkbot.io

Website took 2 days to build, the idea, webapp and server took around 5 months.

I haven't charged a penny to my clients, because it's still in beta, but I'm on my way on making it no-beta soon and start monetizing.

Unexpected: Got featured in some blogs and it rained clients and e-mails, too demanding for one-person project. I wasn't ready, nor my product, marketing was going to happen later.

P.S. I'm the only coder and designer, should've been faster with more people on the "team".

I have this on my home since 2014 and made by me. I offer this solution to clients in my city with a startup I founded called Hivee https://hivee.io

No magic needed.

This seems easy to outsmart or confuse.

What if I go with someone that doesn't have an Amazon Go account grabs some stuff for me and throw it to me?

Or how about I go with someone that has an Amazon Go account too and we divide in two, he goes for the milks I go for the cereals. We meet just before the "check-out" and he gives me my milk I give him his cereal.

I'd need to know more about the technical stuff to know how it could be confused, or to know if it's even possible to.

Something that I've learned is that technology will change everything. If we would've put excuses to all technology that is here today, we'd still be living 30 years in average. We are evolving, and so is the way of living and the definition of humanity.

Generations that are being born today won't see a supermarket as a social place at all, and those are the generations that will be accepting and shaping how humanity interacts, so you better adapt to their "normal" life.

Totally agree.

But I'm mexican and live in Mexico. I know software isn't the solution for everything but that's how I can help from here.

I wonder if there's any way to tell apart real-users-requests from fake-users-requests.

If I'm not wrong, it's only preventable by increasing the resources of the server, doing anti-bots things like CAPTCHAS (not feasible for stand-alone IoT devices) or detecting weird patterns (which can be masked really easily).

How will DDoS attack be preventable in the future? There will be so many things and nano-thing connected to the internet that can act as "attackers". Is getting harder and harder everyday.

Thank you all for your replies and feedback. There's a lot to learn/meditate from these messages and your own stories. I'm totally having a talk with my dad and I'm moving out of my comfort zone to find what's next with me. To those who sent me an e-mail, I'll get back to you soon.
