Tesla's FSD problem isn't the technology, it's the positioning. It's genuinely good at what it does but selling it as "Full Self-Driving" set an expectation it can't meet. If they had framed it as the best safety feature, always aware co-driver watching out for you, people would trust it far more and adoption would be much higher.

I had the exact same experience with my web app, about 10 years ago.

My conclusion was that productivity forums are more of a support group than a place to find users for new concepts.

I built an app that is 100% flexible to adjust to how you want to work, and I think most people expect such an app to tell them how to work and it has to be simple.

AI is becoming a populist; the next step is a demagogue.

I am writing a low-code tool for Google Apps Script and Google Sheets.

Developed in pure JavaScript and can work in both desktop and mobile browsers.

It includes a custom front-end framework that completely eliminates the need for front-end coding.

The tool also includes many features such as a shopping cart, signatures, and fully flexible forms.

Development with this tool does not require a graphical interface, so ChatGPT can handle most of the development.

Few years ago I experimented with a social media in which User-submitted posts become visible only after filtered and ranked by random anonymous polls sent to sub group of the community.

It requires members to vote once in a while but eliminates biases and increase diversity.

I got some activity but did not have the time to keep alive and experiment. I still think the concept have potential, maybe someone will refine it one days.

When in doubts, do the right thing.

I developed my own gmail app script to accommodate my personal workflow, where all tasks and task-related information, including Gmail inbox, are organized and scheduled in the same hierarchy.

Here is why I think it makes me extremely efficient

1. I can group and nest together Emails, to-do’s, files and links that are related to the same goal, my lists are now much shorter and manageable and I can focus on my goals instead switching between gmail, todo’s etc..

2. Since my gmail Inbox is fully integrated with my to-do list, I don't need to manually and tediously maintain and synchronize them.

3. Scheduling a goal with sub-emails and tasks hide them and bring them back when I need them.This further reduces my clutter and makes sure I will not forget anything.

4. I can organize my plans and thoughts as I organize and drag inbox Emails, To-Do’s and Ideas into their related tasks.

5. Since every email has a natural place in my task hierarchy, I can quickly empty my Gmail Inbox and deal with email when dealing with their related tasks.

What made it stick for me was processing my gmail inbox (which I must do), inside my todo list, which quickly created a habit.

BTW I tried to market the solution and gave up, either most people think different or I am just a bad marketer.

My personal realization that Evolution is the other “theory of everything”, with the exception of the laws of physics, evolutionary processes are shaping everything, including progress in science, economy, history, politics, ideas, social, emotions, religion, etc.

I think this is more a question about prioritizing and time management than a question about organizing

I developed Centask [1] to integrate, in one view, everything I need to complete a project/task, (Gmail emails, files, links, notes etc.) organize it in any way I want, and declutter my task list by scheduling single and nested items to appear only when I need the

Since it is Gmail centric I can email myself links and notes from any app.

It can take Gmail Inbox emails into Centask Inbox so email is just one more task treated exactly the same as todo items and links etc.

Since most of the third party tools I use are online I use Centask bookmarklet to add links to tasks in other apps/sites to Centask Inbox.

What made it stick for me was to process my Gmail inbox within Centask so I must use it, thus my agenda may get longer when I am busy but never gets out-of-date.

If you can pre-verify the need for your app by getting people to sign up for a mailing list or otherwise, then go for the app, otherwise get a job.

Maybe because it has uncharted economic value, especially with access to large number of people via the internet, large number means that taking advantage of small behavior can translate into much value.

I think it is mostly a marketing challenge, once most people realize the risk, it will gain momentum and solutions will follow.

Work environment and needs are very personal but maybe you can learn from my solution.

My frustration with most task manager is that they require me to manually maintain a parallel universe to the other tools I use to execute a project such emails, files, links, notes etc. This manual maintenance require a lot of discipline and typing. When I am busy I am less likely to update the task list and then few days after that my tasks are out-of-date and it takes even more energy to fix, which I am less likely todo.

As a result I decided to develop my own task manager for Gmail (https://www.centask.com/) a tool that integrates everything I need to complete a project, (emails, files, links, notes etc.) organize it in any way I want it, and schedule single and nested items to appear when I need them. When I have paper notes, I either type them into Centask as separate items or email myself an image of it and add the image as sub-task of the main task.
