You're right, but... The idea comes from the desktop world. AMD's zen 4 desktop cpu's especially the gaming variants like the Ryzen 7 7800X3D almost matches the performance per watt of Apple's M3.
Their laptop cpu's as some companies did release same model different cpu were less efficient than intel.
But the Asus ProArt P16 (used in the article) did manage an extreme endurance score in the video test called Big Buck Bunny H.264 1080p which runs at 150 cd/m² with 21 hours. With it's higher resolution, oled and 10% less battery capacity that's better 40 minutes better than the macbook pro 16 m3 max. For me noise matters, that Asus has a whisper mode which produces 42db as much as an M3 max under full load. Please be aware that if you're susceptible of PWM, that ASUS laptop has issues.

Sometimes the marketing name and a logo specify a certain mode like USB 10Gbps the marketing name is only used for USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 mode, the black/white logo with 10 Gbps always correspond to USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 mode.
If you see USB in blue and 10 Gbps in red than it's either USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 or USB4 Gen 2×1 ( those modes have different encodings )

There's a device for unlocking I-phones. I saw it in action a few times at work: The I-phone is placed horizontally into a cradle, 40 cm above the screen there's some kind of a device. That device produces flash flights, a couple times per second and I suspect it takes pictures. If I remember correctly there's nothing touching the buttons. The officer said that it can crack I-phone 6 (7 was not out when I asked it). What I suspect is that it uses brute force and avoids the delaying system. Belgium, proud of it's social protection and security, has the same problem. Delhaize Belgium bought it's chickens from an industrial farm. That farm hired a company who brought in workers for help during the harvest. The workers were from Bulgaria, standard of living there's much lower than Slovenia. Member states of the European Union adhere to the free trade of goods and labor principle. Which meant in this case those Bulgarian workers fell under Bulgarian labor laws. It's really a complex matter because civil servants accused this company of illegaly employing staff to dodge taxes and cheat social security. The Labour Appellate Tribunal of Gent imposed severe fines which would have impoverished everyone related, also "normal" workers, to the industrial farm. The court of cassation ( highest instance court in Belgium ) judged that the court of Gent was wrong. So the process had to be redone. The Labour Appelate Tribunal of Antwerp judged that the defendants, Delhaize and that chicken farm, didn't breach the law so they were not guilty. Case closed.

With iptables you can read packets, is it an icmp packet, what is it length and so on... If I was a hacker and I notice that icmp packets are blocked, I would feel less fear.

Between 2001 and the arrival of service pack 2, it was a horror due to virus and worms for sys admins and end users. The ignore the problem thing was a resident resource hungry program called "virus scanner" Com & co were great, ms used it,the rest abused it. And Xp feels fast too, it wasn't, 7 was faster, but it felt the other way.
