I respect this guy's idea, but some transactions and ideas happen when you eat lunch with awesome folks. Great ideas could be incepted by one person, but molded into better iterations by other contributors of the conversation.

I prefer Google's simplicity. Doesn't make my life complicated. Simplicity isn't ugly either.

This is actually true. Some languages use passive pronouns to tell a story while English mostly uses pronouns in the active format. That alone can transpose a meaning to a whole different level. While English does have a wide array of lingo to explain ideas and circumstances; languages such as that of France's can intricately indicate the gender modality of a sentence by the linking of pronouns and verbs.

I would say that by the time he said this, his children already have their own businesses, acquired some good wealth of their own, and have been groomed well to run them (and as well as handle/invest money wisely)

It's almost like it, and that is an awesome gadget. You basically lower your body's frequencies - more like into a theta state. And that's when you can easily get into superlearning mode and/or eventually fall asleep.

I can say it's true that meditation does help with insomnia. In my case, it has made me sleep easily. Give it some time to relax and breathe, next thing you know you are feeling groggy. I know some serious meditators avoid falling asleep if they want to do these for hours, but it can be a challenge achieving that.

They should create an app for that. Seriously.

I guess it just depends on which circle or places you usually hang around with. Either you're in LA, NY, Montreal, or elsewhere; you can still run a sustainable startup with the right timing and resources.

Still, I'd rather stay in Silicon Valley for a number of reasons:

1) High concentration & influx of venture capitalists, startup founders, incubators and advisors 2) Sun 3) Sun

Don't get me wrong, places like New York are going strong true. Foursquare, Vimeo... and where do I get my morning coffee? Fred Wilson's AVC.com blog. I moved back to SV from DC because I'm used to the peninsula and I really know this is where I want to be if I run a startup. But it is actually up to you if you want to run it in New York, Montreal, London, or Berlin. Timing can be everything sometimes.

Women? Yeah, New York has plenty. But after reading Neil Strauss's "The Game", I think you can create an opportunity of meeting the right girl for you out of every setting. (Disclaimer: I don't go to night clubs often these days. I go to Club Startup)

Definitely do the things that you're passionate about, because you will only end up regretting and coming up with those "what-if" questions everyday. Do it anyway.

They WePay founders are right in a way. You do give up (or do not adapt) a certain lifestyle if you do choose the entrepreneurial path, but the long-term rewards are endless.
