$15,000 CPU is better than a $5000 CPU?

You can do all the benchmarks you want, but if you don't factor in price, then of course the more expensive product (in general) is going to be better.

It is the same thing with the Snapdragon Elite and Mediatek Dimensity 9400. The SDE is the faster processor and more expensive.

People do not seem to understand that these chips are in different price brackets, even between Qualcomm and Mediatek. That is why there is a discrepancy in performance.

Would not be fair to compare a $20 toaster to a $50 toaster and say that the $20 toaster is slower.

No harm if all these requirements are met by some framework to cater to the Rust community.

In my opinion you should for 99% of cases use Golang for your web backend. Any other languages there are tradeoffs you are making.

Go:

- very easy to learn and grok Go code

- static typing

- fast compilation

- single binary (easier deployment)

- strong standard library

- large library ecosystem

- go routines for concurrency

- highly performant

Maybe Java,Kotlin and C# but they are still an order of magnitude more complex and resource heavy than Go.

I would love to have a version of Caddy written in Rust. I believe that this is going to happen some point in the future. Nginx has the best performance but not a good UX compared to caddy. Rewriting to Rust or C++ will make it the ultimate reverse proxy.

The solution to the poor standard library in my opinion is for someone like NPM to step up and provide the defacto language library. It will help in reducing the sheer volume of JavaScript dependencies to only one library.

It is genius. As a "startup", for free you are getting community, traffic, marketing and terabytes of free image hosting.

Plus think of it this way, websites fight tooth and nail to stay relevant to the user. You win that fight if they "install" your app. Joining their Discord server means you have installed their application to one of the most frequented messaging apps. If this was a website, you would have forgotten about it after couple uses. At least when it is in your discord server dock, it is visible to the user and in their mind.

The most challenging part of reading code is the WHY. But is easier said then done when it comes to documenting code with this in mind. Happy medium is to make sure the author peppers in enough context of why something is like this.

The infamous Guardian headline "6500 migrants died since world cup awarded to Qatar" is deliberately misleading to get people to think 6500 people died building the stadiums. Since people naturally assume migrant == working on stadiums.

In a country of 2.6 million people, Qatar is 90% migrants, laborers to white collar workers. Over the span of 10+ years, there will be mortality for that population.

It is like making a headline "450,000 black Americans have died in the year Biden took office". How foolish would a news journal would look if they published a headline like that?

You should always reach out to use Digital Ocean, Linode, Vultr as your starting point. Aws and the gang are mega mega expensive compared to what you pay for a vps. If you require services beyond compute, database and storage, then use the big names. Otherwise save yourself headache with complexity, unpredictable and absurd costs.

Please don't use AWS especially as a startup, you are going to kill yourself paying for compute, database and egress that is multiples times what you get from a vps. AWs is NOT cheap

The Qur'an didn't borrow anything, nor was it influenced by the previous religions. The Qur'an is a revelation from God, as was the original Torah to Moses and the Injeel to Jesus. The same accounts of history and messages would be told to the prophets from God.

The claim where Muhammad ﷺ copied from the previous books is simply not possible. An unlettered man narrating and correcting the histories/traditions of the Jews and Christians where they were few and far between in Arabia. It was pagan through and throught. Recounting their history would require a library to be available and be a polyglot in Hebrew/Aramaic/Greek (there were no Arabic Bible translation until the 10th Century).

If the motivation is to gain followers from the prior Abrahamic religions, the easiest thing to do would be to appease their view points and reaffirm what they believed, not to correct them. Not to mention the sheer volume of recounting the children of Israel and history of Jesus in the Qur'an, which does not make sense if you are copying as you would want a few lines here and there to avoid saying something wrong.
