Look into cptsd, and mention what you’ve said here to a trauma/informed therapist.
ADHD can be exacerbated by cptsd, so you might have already had ADHD but not as noticeably.

The rule of thumb is that all carbohydrates harm blood glucose control.
This is untrue. Only simple carbohydrates harm blood glucose control. Complex carbs such as whole grains and fruit aid in it, in part thanks to their fiber. If you have a source that supports your claim, please share it, it must be bleeding edge nutritional science.
Might possibly be easier or more fun to dump the app when it’s loaded into RAM then repackage it and run it on your phone.
Do you have any recipes for somebody in the US who has been meaning to dive into baking good breads? That's one culinary area I've yet to do a deep dive into, but I need to because I love bread and I'm so over what's available here.
felt no different
feeling much better
Does not compute :P
Very nice!
So, in Safari on iOS 14, the view demo link brought me to a page that was mostly blank besides the name and picture. I turned on a screen recording to capture the bug, but then was unable to reproduce it (started the recording on this page and followed the link again.) I should have thought to screenshot the page before doing so, oh well! Maybe it was due to a failed XHR request for the profile data, if the pages are being rendered client-side.
A lot of the questions in this thread are answered here: https://fennel-lang.org/rationale
It's still under very active development by technomancy and others, with a friendly community and lively IRC channel.
By the reasoning of who you're replying to, the answer to your question would be that it's because we share the same common ancestor with both chimps and gorillas—gorillas also inheriting the improved social skills that humans have, making chimps the odd ones out.
Oh, I was bringing up the price in comparison to the price of plant milks from a consumer's standpoint—while plant milks seemingly have a high markup from raw materials to product (transportation and storage costs aside), our perception of what makes it expensive has an unrealistic anchor in the subsidized cost of cow's milk. Paying $12 for a gallon of cow's milk vs. $5 for a gallon of oat milk changes the picture a bit.
A lot of plant milks are unsweetened, and there is a high and growing demand for these products—yes these companies want to make money, but it's not as if they were manufacturing the demand, they're merely capitalizing upon it.
Better yet is to make one's own oat milk; I agree that they're exorbitantly expensive, albeit (here in the US) the dairy industry is immensely subsidized and so we consumers don't see the true cost of our cow's milk.
I just started using exwm and was wondering about the cause of this, thanks for sharing. There should really be a way to open unmanaged windows into their own individual workspaces.
There's really not much to learn!
Thanks for the addendum. It's prescribed for ADHD off-label more frequently than most people realize, and I've been prescribed strattera, concerta, and adderall before settling on armodafinil.
Meditation is a great addition to the list and I can't believe I glossed over it, it played a huge part in my recovery. I try to live life in a state of flow, if that makes sense—"Be thoughtful" is my mantra when I slip out of it.
These are the ways I effectively stave off my depression, for me personally hitting every point is extremely important:
* Proper diet
* Consistent sleep schedule
* Maintaining a social support network (and having a dog)
* An hour of light to moderate cardio _every_day_ (walking my dog forces me to do this, but I also bike to work and go rock climbing.) My anxiety melts away when I do cardio.
* Focus on my hobbies and individualism
* Self-guided CBT
* Medication for ADHD when I'm working on something that is too painfully boring to work on (armodafinil)
* Focusing on pragmatism and thoughtfulness in every action (or at least, aspiring to)—Check out stoicism and virtue ethics
I have struggled with major depression for years, but have finally clawed my way out of it and am trying to proactively safeguard myself from ever slipping back into my own personal hell. Life is damn good, but I have to stay vigilant. Godspeed. And remember, treating the physical symptoms comes first.
I just woke up and saw this, going to briefly touch on these points but please don't take it as trying to argue or push my beliefs ^_^
1. Do you love the taste of meat or is it the texture of the meat + the taste of the (plant) seasonings?
2. If it is your primary hobby, you should dive more into cuisines that don't focus heavily on meat as a personal challenge (as well as trying to make plant-based versions of things), I think you'd find it a lot of fun.
3. You can, that is a common misconception but there are a lot of resources on the internet about this–on phone and precaffeinated but I can look later if you'd like.
4. This is a classic reasoning I hear, I think it is honorable that you try to eat humanely killed animals, but there are other issues (factory farming is more environmentally friendly, selective breeding causes health issues, can't be sure all farms are as ethical as the one you worked on, eating meat at basically any restaurant goes against your defense, etc.)
Need to walk my dog, make breakfast, and go to work but I am down to continue this discourse at both of our leisures–hope you have a lovely day :)
What makes you a staunch carnivore, if I may ask?
I agree. The only animal products I eat are bivalves, though I was vegan for three years prior and vegetarian on and off for a decade prior to that. I'm finally at a place where I feel I'm eating in line with my morals, which helps stave off depression.
For me personally it's:
Humans > tool-and-reason-using animals (certain primates, corvids, cephalopods, cetaceans, etc.) > other animals in descending order of perceived capacity to suffer > bivalves > non-animal kingdoms.
Mobx and Redux have slightly different use cases, IMO. I prefer Redux for larger projects and Mobx for smaller ones, though I've only used Redux in production so far.
I didn't realize there were issues with it—it's been forever since I looked at it. I added it as an afterthought, rather than seriously citing it, but that was laziness on my part and I am ashamed of myself and do humbly apologize. However, I take issue with somebody completely ignoring anybody for any arbitrary heuristic—that is also intellectual laziness.
I do appreciate your well-reasoned response, and respect the amount of nutritional research you have done. I merely recommend trying Dr. Greger's nutritional advice for yourself for a month, to see if it personally works for you. Following it plus reintroducing exercise to my life each played a large part in breaking out of a major depressive episode.
In the end, what matters is finding what works for us personally. I have no vested interest in convincing anybody to follow my nutritional advice, other than wanting them to flourish. I'm sorry for accidentally butting heads, I seem to have rubbed you the wrong way. Hope you have a wonderful day.
I'm not appealing to his authority—you should review the scientific literature he cites. Also, I cannot recommend enough actually trying out different diets to see what personally works best for you. I would be very interested in hearing about your living by the recommended "Daily Dozen" [0] for a month, to see for yourself how fantastic it will make you feel. Also, I would recommend checking out The China Study. [1]

Actually, it's more likely that the issue is we're not eating a mostly whole foods, plant-based diet. It's not carbs that are the problem, but refined carbs certainly are a problem. They're not what our bodies evolved to thrive on. I highly recommend watching Dr. Greger's talk at Google[0] on the subject, or reading his book[1].

Thank you! I've been meaning to dive into leaning x86 and 64-bit, you just made it much easier :)
I appreciate the hell out of people like you who take the time to spread their hard-earned practical wisdom. <3
Thanks for sharing!
You're glossing over the additional nuance, I think, of the proposed solution giving everybody equal access to a limited meat ration.
Because it allows everybody access to the same quantity, while rewarding those who abstain.
I think the author of the comment you're replying to conflated sentience with sapience.
The "preferred" method is to use some sort of bouncer (znc) along with running a CLI client (irssi, weechat) in a session manager (screen, tmux) on a remote server. Weechat includes its own bouncer, and I would recommend somebody to start with it over irssi. I only fairly recently switched to weechat from znc + irssi because I wanted to try weechat.el as I wasn't happy with the state of using screen in eshell, and I don't have it as configured as my irssi was yet but I'm happy with it. Next up, switching to tmux from screen...
