Several years back, I was running it on a single server along with Kafka ( I was requested to keep everything related to analytics to a single huge server ) and it started with a fight for zookeeper between these two. While it worked quite well thereafter, keeping it up was a battle.
Maybe situation is better with clusters and Kafka moving away from zookeeper.
Well, I wrote one with rust and actix-web for exact same purpose.
In my opinion, writing basic auth is simple and safe if you keep OWASP guidelines and other best practices in mind but adding features like SSO and MFA etc is complicated. With that said, almost everything else I tried feels so heavy and slow that I'm sticking with mine for now.
If I've to use prebuilt solutions, I'll pick one that is open source and can be self hosted.

Annoyed by amount of tooling required to render markdown, nunjucks and front-matter, I wrote this cli and used it for all of my static sites. Since then, I’ve mostly migrated my sites to nextjs.

That's right but their email response says that they and their all registrars hide sensitive information. When I checked manually, most does but not Namecheap. Even if Namecheap does not violates GDPR, Namecheap still blamed registry while registry says otherwise.
I had a long email discussion with Namecheap and they said that INRegistry is the one to blame. Now INRegitry said opposite of what Namecheap said. I am seriously confused which of these two are wrong. One is wrong for sure.
Update:- Looks like INRegistry and Namecheap will communicate directly.
Agreed. Specially, flags of these commands are actual magic when it comes to productivity, at least for me. For example, not all flags of git commit command are used frequently but they perform a lot of different operations and can be easily combined to save the day.

It's the easiest thing in the world for the giver, but to the receiver it feels like a kick in the gut. It definitely contributes to the feeling of hostility.
I have several well recived answers there but I have never downvoted anyone because leaving it as is feels right than downvoting for the reasons you mentioned. I never asked a question there and tried figuring out the answers based on existing resources and on my own and it helped me learning a lot. This might not be the right way but being hostile and downvoting feels more than disagreement to me. This is the reason why I avoid being there.
Just a markdown file with emojis and special characters is enough for me.
