That's too bad because it's my opinion, not yours. The purpose is that people in hard times need to focus on getting one's life in order before bringing anyone else into theirs, not on love as a panacea or escape because the drama and chaos will lead nowhere good. The overriding principle is no one else can save them and it's an unhealthy mindset, they must be their own "hero."

smh. READ. Generics. There are overpriced generics which make absolutely no sense other than a lack of competition.
Given that the raw materials are incredibly cheap compared to the resulting medications, charging often $10+ per pill for what costs a fraction of a cent with all costs included, patients ought to consider banding together and forming an employee- and customer-owned co-op generics pharmaceuticals co. that charges cost plus X%.
.
Crossfire, Alex Jones and Gordon Ramsay need their own shouting as a service platform.
It sucks for free speech that he got banned because it gives him notoriety and "credibility" in wingnuttery circles.
There ought to be other remedies to manipulative behavior for ratings than simply banning.
Google may not be the best model to aid researchers, or the most useful and profitable. An AWS meets Coursera meets helpful tech and engineering consulting/support shop seems like a better, full-service model to help bio people accomplish their work while having the support of a top-notch IT/engineering organization. Professional services without the delay, cost or extractive tendencies... more like kick-ass support that gets things done right now.
Smh. Zero tolerance is zero thinking is zero humanity. Common-sense by discretion must prevail where 8+ million are locked-up, the most overcriminalized country with the most prisoner per-capita in the world, save Seychelles. As John Oliver pointed out, DA's are elected based on "tough on crime" nonsense, have all of the power to decide whom/how to prosecute and there aren't enough public defenders so the majority of people plead guilty, even if they're innocent, because they have no hope of fighting a system that is broken and doesn't provide either a speedy trial or adequate representation.
That's an understatement. Locking people away simply because others don't like them sounds a lot like, I don't know, a non-Godwin's law exception.
It's disturbing when people even rhetorically-suggest breaking with common decency and dogwhistle encourage strong-man fascism.
Nuance, thank you. Black & white thinking makes me suspect a person maybe either fresh off the turnip truck, tending towards dramatic narcissistic or never slept rough. The world is only easy and mertiocratic for the relatively rich.
In real life, the very poor are put-upon, berated, judged, harassed, kicked and even murdered for the crime of being poor.
The rich corrupt government and steal from medicaid, literally killing people for another yacht... so don't give us that pseudo-mertiocratic tripe.
Lenovo Thinkpad T series laptops are built like tanks, have proper keyboards, some have water-resistance, most have easily-removable batteries. The T480 has a 30 hour runtime with dual batteries, and starts at about $800 USD. I'd try to turn that into a hackintosh or find an A1278 because it has 2x drives (optical turns into second drive bay), works with 16 GiB of RAM and the battery isn't glued in. On the latter, I'd send it to Rossmann in NYC just to have the JTAG header removed and exposed traces sealed (Apple BOOO, poor craftsmanship)... yes, Apple sells computers with logic boards that are prone to corrosion, shorting and other damage due to substandard engineering and manufacturing.
I find fasting for a week easier than for 12-16 hours.. eating makes me hungrier; whereas fasting for a few days, the extreme hunger goes away after 3-4 days.
Ironically, a friend of mine whom runs a restaurant and works long hours eats like the suggested diet unintentionally: one normal-sized meal a day in the evening because of working nonstop since 5 am.
The downside of fasting is that it stimulates the SNS and increases stress and cortisol... which may well cancel out any "good" effects.
On bare-metal or base VPS servers, it's a Good Idea™ to set swappiness to 1 and have only a tiny amount of swap (say 512 MiB) in order to measure memory utilization pressure and OOM via swap usage trends in monitoring/alert tools. (Any sizable swap usage indicates heavy memory usage and likely things breaking.) Having giant swap files hides problems, slows servers and wears SSDs. Excessive memory usage is rarely addressed unless memory metrics are time-series monitored. Also, if running a production DBMS, as with most server programs, monitor major metrics from both outside of it and those metrics it offers.

News media dramatize situations for views. There is, in life and in business, always a current problem(s) of one sort or another... it's when existential emergencies are vigilantly remediated and replaced by trivial "first-world" annoyances that life or business is good.

Physicians and psychiatrists often omit or forget to disclose the long-term permanent damage medications can cause... such medications can literallly age your brain with cognitive decline, tremors, dysfunctions similar to advanced age.
Embedded systems engineer of the sharpie resist era.
If you're in Shenzhen, don't bother making your own... you can even get prototype flex PCBs in a couple of hours.

Ah yes, also a GTD rule, IIRC.

Yeah, that's fairly standard. Another trick is to boil it in the sieve and just lift the pasta out of the water.
Even simpler: don't boil water or bother with a sieve for a single serving. Just place pasta in a cup, add hot water to just barely cover it and place the serving plate over it. After 15 minutes, invert the cup and serving plate as a "sieve." It's possible to get FrenchGuyCooking-approved consistency without wasting energy boiling gallons of water that will be washed down the drain.
I'll earn a hippie badge someday: rubber tramp in a VW to save rent and 32 oz. bottles of the OCD miracle. A few drops on a microfibre towel first since it acts as a surfactant, otherwise water goes everywhere. Able to get sniff-test and actual clean using around 240 ml of water; with hair-washing, around 720 ml. Works great for shaving. It seems strongly concentrated as it can irritate the skin (or I'm a wimp). Suggest 10:1 - 50:1 dilution for hygiene. If someone is extra funky, also add 10:1 hand-sanitizer... there's a tiny risk of using EtOH but it would seem less than legacy EtOH mouthwashes.
Better have a solid alternative in-place before throwing away social or income sheet capital. Up and quitting (hopefully with notice) without a plan isn't smart or professional.
Suggestion for anyone in this bracket and unmarried: once a year, rent a massive coastal villa in a South American country on the cheap ($1.5-3k/week) either alone or with 1-2 cool (emphasize cool) friends. I'll let your imagination run wild as to what follows. Now up that a bit as your imagination wasn't wild enough. Have fun, be safe.
ProTip: Use VRBO or other vacation rental sites rather than airbnb.
Yeap. It's pseudo-public for the benefit of the rich kids while denigrating public schools as "inefficient" and other libertarian/utopian hate against "socialism" while duplicitously funneling welfare to the rich while stealing from the poor.
Starting a company is all well and good from the biased survivors whom can operate at scale, opening a store or starting something small and manageable is more feasible for most people.
Promise hope and change but deliver it slowly or not at all.
Not to pick on any one partisan side, but isn't that what Obama promised before nearly passing TPP/TTIP which would've sold-out America's autonomy and rule of law to a higher ruling international body also run by corporations? By sheer chance, buffoon 45 killed it.. and then he saved a few hundred jobs while losing tens of thousands more with poorly-designed tariffs.
The locals want to hide prostitution and roll-back the "red light" districts. Already, prostitution is illegal in some areas of Zurich and prostitutes are required to have licenses. The move is to hide prostitution from being out in the open, something so-called "private-public partnerships" would be unlikely to accomplish. It would need local knowledge to explain if this is pretext for prohibition or a legitimate accommodation.
Just a note to Americans: prostitution is generally legal in Europe. Switzerland has a very high cost of living comparable to NYC or SF, but it has a male:female sex ratio similar to that of San Jose. Other places in Europe have relatively low costs of living like out of Prague, where prostitutes average 70€/hr. I would imagine prostitution in Zurich would be expected to average 250€/hr.
