Thanks for checking it out. The sort used in the code is Javascript's native sort method which is not guaranteed to be stable and varies by browser (Chrome vs Firefox for example sort differently in the W/L/T columns - try clicking W then T in each browser.) Kind of annoying really.

Thanks! The checkboxes are there for show, no hooks on them in the demo. You can select multiple rows using the checkboxes or the control or shift keys. If the option allowMultipleSelections is false then the checkboxes become radio buttons.

Nice site. I found all the beers I was searching for easily. I think I'd use this more on my mobile phone while at the bar vs on my desktop.

I think the problem Facebook has is once someone uses it for a few years there's a potential that they'll get sick of it. When someone gets sick of a site like Facebook they rarely if ever go back. Since it's a social network that results in a lot of lost value and degrades the experience for other users who may have friends leaving the site.

In 20 years we'll see how right he is. My guess is he's dead wrong. If you look at the software development industry it's relatively new (mid 90s really) and expanding rapidly into every industry. That's producing a lot of heavy demand for software developers and if you think about it on a meta level it makes sense with so many things becoming digitized. With all this demand building up for a job that requires a certain mindset (hindering supply) I don't see this becoming a problem so long as the workforce keeps up its marketability.

I think it's good to have a choice of language for front end web development and I think primarily this is what Dart is providing. That said unless Dart proves to be considerably faster than Javascript I don't think I'll be converting any old Javascript code bases.

I agree they're certainly going to have to provide a convincing case for me to switch to Dart in the future but like I said right now it's at least nice to see a second choice being developed.
