Can anyone point to a single example of someone making money with this tool? Just one example...

A bit more context in case anyone is curious:

This project originally came from a trip to Korea where I learned about personal color analysis. The in-person sessions are interesting but often cost a few hundred dollars, so I wrote down the idea years ago of trying to approximate it with software.

I finally built a quick version as a learning project.

There’s nothing particularly sophisticated happening under the hood. The goal was mostly to get more comfortable working with modern AI tooling and to practice shipping small things again after a long stretch working inside a startup.

If anyone experiments with it, I’d be especially interested in:

• cases where the color analysis is clearly wrong • UX things that feel confusing or clunky • obvious technical improvements • or just general thoughts on whether the idea is interesting at all

Appreciate any feedback!

Interesting. I've always heard that $100k MRR is the minimum metric for an A but I guess that only applies to SaaS companies. Looking forward to hearing about YCA

You might like an app I made called Space.

The idea of a hard block on tech is intuitive, but it doesn't do anything to undermine the habitual learning in tech addiction; it just frustrates it for a fixed amount of time.

Space focuses on slowly undermining the compulsions behind tech addiction. So that, over time, you don't have the impulse to open the app anymore.

If you try it out, let me know what you think!

Hi Yunha,

The hardest part of meditation for me was building the habit. Every time I started to build a practice I either lost interest, had a hard time staying engaged, or simply stopped. What have you done from a dev or design standpoint to help your users build a habit around mindfulness?

Thanks for the AMA!

Why Homejoy Failed 11 years ago

I pay my housekeeper $80 to deep clean my entire house. Homejoy wanted $145 for their non-professional apathetic cleaners to do a light cleaning. Thats why they failed

I'm sure the government is on this as well but its pretty incredible what a citizen journalist can do from his home computer with a few basic web sites. Some of the other projects that he has worked on (finding a russian training camp, authenticating an Egyptian revolution movie, etc..) are worth a read as well
