I've been following this project for several months now and Elixir/BEAM is absolutely perfect for running agents. BEAM is so incredibly lightweight; IFYKYK. Theoretically you could run 1000s of agents on a single server. I'm looking forward to seeing what people who understand this build.

That is pretty awesome... I can't believe how much Bitcoin has grown in the past 6 months. Kicking myself for not investing.
Gladwell is one of those people that Steve Jobs would say, "He just doesn't get it."
I hope Facebook builds a phone, than we can really start to watch them fall.
Brilliant! not...lol
Facebook has lost it... they seem to have completely lost focus on what they are trying to do. They just made their user experience even worse by adding more crap.
Would love to hear anyones thoughts on my blog post. Thanks in advance!
I understand Einsteins use of drugs is speculative. But, the article isn't necessarily just about Einstein, but about all the great people who we have great respect for that also use drugs.
Awesome meetup and great group of guys! Thank you so much to Solution Space for hosting the meeting, the new space has dramatically increased the value of these meetings!!
We're still collecting our baseline data at the moment, but we have implemented the design features into our community that should create more interactions of upvoting and removing content the user finds relevant.
With the new project I am working on we're attempting to create a content filtering algorithim that can determine the content a user likes based off of previous interactions of upvoting and hiding content from their feed. I think with enough interactions and utilizing a user grouping system, the majority of irrelevant content could be filtered. Assuming the community is large enough and provides an adequate amount of feedback.
How much did it slow you down working a job and working full time?
How difficult was it to transition to working your idea full time? Letting go of the income supporting you?
Thanks for the reply!
I'm plenty techy my friend just not a coder. I graduated with a degrees in electrical engineering and physics. I currently develop nano-materials for the military. I understand the culture and have friends that code, just looking for someone above and beyond, plus building a company with a friend is always the best strategy from personal experience.
Maybe a better idea would be to help profile individuals interested in start-ups and connect them with users who will compliment there idea. I think there are many people out there with great ideas and non-technical skills that need to connect with people that have excellent technical skills in coding for instance. I'm sure there are users in the opposite situation, great technical skills, but lacks the ideas and business skills to truly build a company. If you had some sort of hub or central place for people to offer there ideas and contribution safely, and the hub would then help connect them with their compliment(s) co-founder. Like a co-founder dating site, but with actual people in center helping making connections with one another, not a computer.
