When you want to measure a related but different quantity, don't use the same name as the first one because that leads to confusion. This rule is not followed by Decibel and that is complaint.

I wrote an article about a possible proof of personhood solution idea: https://mjaseem.github.io/tech/2025/04/12/proof-of-humanity.....
The broad idea is to use zero knowledge proofs with certification. It sort of flips the public key certification system and adds some privacy.
To get into place, the powers in charge need to sway.
I feel "Let's just" is doing much of the work here. You can add the phrase in front of any idea and make it sound awful:
"Let's just make planes fly themselves"
"Let's just put a giant battery in a car instead of an engine"
"Let's just make electricity from wind"
"Let's just be friends"
I would love to see a list like this without such a big asterisk.
Many new photographers get into it because they were inspired by a certain type of photography. If the gear you have does not match what you want to do, you are going to be disappointed.
As an extreme example, if you want to take high resolution pictures of distant planets, you are going to need a telescope.
You are going to have more flexibility with gear choice if you are flexible with the photos you want to take.
If I stuck to kit lens and no photoshop, I may have given up on photography pretty soon.
That's what they want you to believe. Smh
