I've been sitting here in front of my keyboard for a while thinking of a nice way to say it, but I just can't come up with anything. So I'll just state the plain and obvious seen from a European (Danish) perspective:

America is moving fast towards some sort of fascism, and noone seems to be doing anything about it. So if you are American this is the time for you to rise up and show the rest of the world that there is another America. If you don't noone else will, and things will only get worse.

You can say that you voted for X, but vote for Y and noone will ever be able to tell.

No. According to international maritime law ships propelled by engines give way to ships under sail. All ships of this size have a number of large ballast tanks that they use to pump seawater in and out to compensate for placement of cargo.

My guess would be that they've emptied the ballast tanks in the end that has run aground and filled them in the other end to rise the keel.

Not really - steel boats easily last 100 years. A friend of mine lives in one from around 1940 and the steel is in fine shape. As long as it's properly maintained there's no problem.

Copenhagen Suborbitals do thrust vectoring, and if I remember correctly the 4 jetvanes are controlled by an arduino .

The software is written by one guy in his freetime. Pretty amazing feat, considering how difficult it is, and that he has no way of testing it before the actual launch. It worked flawlessly the first time.

This video shows some technical data streamed live from the rocket that gives a good overview of what the jetvanes are doing. Notice the graphic in the lower left corner; The H in the middle is the floating launch platform (12x14 meters) and the moving red dot is the position of the rocket in the X-Y plane. On the whole trip it never moves more than a few meters from the center. Really impressive stuff...

The key to a successful company is not being first, not (only) having a great technical solution, and not having tech noone else does.

The key is an umbrella of technology, business sense, marketing ability, salesmanship and much more. Andreeses/Horowwitz probably see a whole umbrella, and not only the tech.

Typically there's a member of each party represented in teh election present for the counting, and often they're open to observers from the outside.

This means that you'd have to collude with your political enemies to steal their votes....
