What impressed me most was the level of understanding of machine learning by this organized group to train Tay so well to be the ultimate troll bot, offensive and relevant.
As someone that works in the VR industry where I think Apple can make the biggest difference would be in the self contained headset using their mobile components. Google is reportedly already doing this, http://techcrunch.com/2016/02/11/google-is-reportedly-buildi....
Think something like the Samsung Gear but an all in one headset thats nicely designed. Out of all the current available headsets, I think the PS is the best designed and best fitting. I think Apple could do better.
there are other really great headsets you can buy that would work. For example I bought a freeflyvr http://www.freeflyvr.com/. Really works well, but do your own research. There are a lot of factors like FOV, adjustable lens and size. etc.
I've tried and used sumologic . It may not be appropriate for some companies because everything is sent and analyzed on their cloud infrastructure, but is a very good product.
I disagree, on the tangram aspect. Most games have an almost auto snap feature that if you drag the piece close enough it just snaps into place. I like the fact that it takes more of hand eye coordination and understanding of physical space for the physical objects to create the shapes on screen.
I don't know I just get the overwhelming feeling that a lot of people aren't parents in this thread. My daughter loves these types of puzzle games on our touch devices. As soon as I saw the video, I have a good feeling she will like it. Really it looks fun , and the word game looks like something we can do together. I'm excited about this product. I really could care less about the actual learning aspects and more interested in the technology + fun aspect.
the moto x and Nexus line has always been considered mid tier, not the latest everything and many compromises made but not low end.

Also layout issues along with not being able to click on the examples link on this page. Wasn't able to actually use the examples. Android 4.4 (N4), aosp browser.
agree its just I'm invested in Spool and Pocket and provides better functionality. I see no reason to switch at this point.
when he talks of sharing vision he nailed what google glasses is going to be. example:

Post of a video from a person jumping on a trampoline wearing the glasses.
i think the facebook integration is less than optimal. If my site uses facebook login, and a user is asked for facebook again on initial use with filepicker the experience would be confusing.
there were a lot of touch devices pre iphone. I owned the nokia 770 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_770_Internet_Tablet around 06 and sony p900 around 04 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_P900. The biggest difference was the capicitive screen vs resistive screen and the requirement of a stylus for most things.
yes. I think the fastest to a million was this video game

anyone have a video of how this works ?
i hate using the metric of downloads or users.. the most important metric that we don't get from mobile app companies is daily active users. Filters on android have become commodity, and I imagine a lot of users just installed to try and see what the hype is about.
google was willing to buy path for 100 million very early, which would of been primarily a talent acquisition. With Instagram's community, install base, along with a bidding war .. I don't see it as just a talent acquisition, but primarily the motivating factor. Plus it was for money and stock without really knowing what the percentages are.. facebook stock is valued pretty high these days.

i just create shortcuts to my home or frequent addresses. The major use case is not from frequent location A to frequent location B. The major use case is from random place A to frequent location B. Creating shortcuts on the dashboard to navigation has been the simplest solution, pretty much what you're doing here. Hold down on dashboard, create shortcut to location.
i think the difference is that for example vevo has ads supporting the music you listen/watch through the youtube channel. As of now there's not the ad alternative through google music.
as someone else said they did announce youtube integration through artists hub as well as linking to purchasing the track from youtube. http://music.google.com/artists/ - at the bottom is screenshot of what it will be like.
anyway you could send me that data ?
| Handling tabs in browsers makes no sense
Opening new links in a new card is by far one of the worst user experiences I have ever seen. Also a pressing another button to switch to different windows ( default android and mobile safari) is not any better.
As someone else said, maybe the shortcut isn't obvious, but holding down the home button allows you to see a recent apps and switches apps (Android) must faster than scrolling through cards.
How is copy and paste different in WebOS (haven't found a use for it yet)
sent them this in their feedback, but I don't know how a company can seriously ask people to invest time/resources in their services with no idea of what future pricing is like. This alone is a big enough reason not to use.
I created http://home.nibzy.com/ or http://nibzy.com - basically bookmarks to all my favorite sites and then some to site with optimized mobile. Check it out and set it to your homepage if you like it. Heres a plain text version also - http://home.nibzy.com/plain (loads slightly faster)
use chrome extensions ghostery and widget block
you can opt out as well - http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/
the reason for the cloud is so you don't have to handle hardware failures, maintenance, upgrades, backups, power outages.. etc. All you need is one hardware component to go on your home server to die, and be out of your services.. and possibly lose all data.
send me an email. If you're looking for a partner. I'm a java developer and dabbled in Android. I have some ideas.
If you install a valid registered copy of the OS on the hardware, I imagine none. For the people that obtain the OS through not so legal means, then I imagine they'll still be able to get around it as most application on the appstore are obtainable through other means.
