Let's not dream, let's get started! A few challenges (list gets longer every day, some asymmetric features), but I think it's a great idea. Since it's got to be grown/updated constantly, where should it live, maybe a github page? Benchmarks is pretty close via this: https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/PerfKitBenchmarker I'm interested; what parts do you think you could contribute? It strikes me as a thing that's far more valuable if the community does it.

Well, spot varies. Sometimes it's low, but the price varies based on demand. Using prices as of right now for example, Currently in California, c3.8xl instances are quite popular, running $1.68 an hour on an instance that's normally 1.912 an hour, roughly a 13% discount. 70% strikes me as better than 13%, especially when it's predictable. (and 70% below an already substantially lower hourly price...)

Strong recommendation from a frequent hirer: for each job, you should state what you accomplished, especially if that can be quantified. Supply the quantities! A list of what your responsibilities are is useless: did you actually do that stuff successfully?

Why is nobody addressing the neutrino coloration issues at the heart of the issue? kubernetes, python, riak. certainly myriad options at each of those tiers which are OSS, easily deployable on cloud/on-premise, and well understood. If those things are a challenge for your org, I'd recommend that a Cloud provider might be the way to go!
