Can anyone explain how to see the images?

"Left side" and "right side" is unambiguous, because there is one given direction (forward). It is the same as "left bank" and "right bank" of a river (it is always looking downstream). For example, Slavic languages usually just use some sort of "left side" and "right side".
Just wondering how you would know that they do or do not do that?
Kvass is very uncommon in Slovakia or Czechia (it's only known as Ukrainian or Russian drink, one can buy it it shops with UA and RU products, which are oriented mainly on UA and RU expats)

There was even a hackathon on Prague (Czechia) - Kosice (Slovakia) train a few years back. It's quite easy (but not very common, for sure) and not so expensive to rent a car or a whole train in CZ (from the train companies). There are also some historical trains for rent (run by enthusiasts, usually).
I was looking once (about a year or two ago) on Czech (EU member state) government websites and about 90% of them were using something from Google, usually Analytics. But some of them required even Captcha (so no way to access it without being vetted by Google, an US company).
Being from Europe: Many more tourists from Asia, beginning of touristic boom from Africa. Many Europeans (and Americans) will be priced out from vacations they can enjoy now.

I'm from central-eastern Europe and I feel the same. I've spent a few years in Latin America and I'd call both the regions "new" or "satellite" or "not-core" West. Germany or the US may be the original core West, but LatAm and CEEurope are West, too.
Whether to include also Russia, that would be my question.

I use postgrest for several projects. I have an issue with crashing occasionally (once in months) for no obvious reason (to me). I solved it by continously checking the status and automatically restarting it if it's down. Otherwise great.

"The algorithm" should never be an excuse. There are many real people on many levels of responsibility behind "the algorithm". Facebook restored it only because the story gained a traction (it is even on HN, right?). What is the rate between restored and not-restored in such cases if the story is not as prominent as this one?

We (very very small EU NGO) do it. I run an emailing of dozens of thousands emails about once a year - before some elections, we prepare some pre-election tools for people. I use simple php for that, so the setting is actually quite bad with regards to spamfiltering. But we get several percents response rate - people coming to our website and using the tools - the very day I send it, which is very good (and more people later), most of businesses would really like to achieve that, imho.
Using DuckDuckGo is fine for let say 98% of my searches (most of them probably IT related). For the rest, I go to Google or Bing or others. Is there Britannica on flash drives? I should add it to those 2%.
Talking from experience from a "new" EU country with solid IT scene: the "cookie law" is not enforced at all. Google would be probably the only one theoretically enforcing it (most of websites do show a message because they use Google Analytics), but it would go against Google's interest, so they are not really enforcing it either.

There are apps - e.g., "Mushrooms app" for Android. It is probably targeted mainly on (central/eastern) Europe, it is the region where mushrooms picking is pretty common. There are a few others, too.

I am using Telegram for such notifications. I made a simple Telegram bot, it does not do anything itself, I just use it as a sender of my messages to my phone. And I have a particular web address, which collects requests from any of my scripts and it just resends it (it is a simple python script) through the bot to me.

What places do you have in mind talking about Eastern Europe? "Grocery market" for 99 % of people (from Eastern Europe) is a "shop"/supermarket/mall (think of Lidl, Tesco or Carrefour as examples) and even outdoor markets, if they exist at all, usually have set prices (which may change during the day, of course).
Bulgarian or Bosnian currencies as well as many central African ones are pegged to Euro since the times of German mark and French frank. And suggered no "Sorosian" attack so far.
Not only KGB, there are such victims jailed in Guantánamo even tonight.
The point is that the US can arbitrarily keep the number of people who are refused visa as high as it wants. And than it can argue that this number is too high for visa waiver (and I bet the US is doing it for countries like Poland)
