What am I supposed to do, not click on this? I'll be back...

Edit: could have been worse, but still very gross. Not Trypophobia triggering

'He said the company is a “platform” for a new model of food delivery, where fresh fruits and veggies are delivered regularly to the home'

For the past five years, I have gotten a box of fresh fruits and veggies delivered every Monday. The produce is organic, often local, always tasty, the box they come in is reusable, and it doesn't have DRM (that I'm aware of).

Edit: “Williams, a self-proclaimed health-food evangelist, said she’d like to see the company sell packs by themselves to people who can’t afford the device”

Can't spare $400 for the device? How about $5-$8 for 8 oz of fresh juice? Make sure to put it into a paper cup with a lid and a straw so we can maximize the amount of waste generated (along with the juice packet).

"In the US peeps don't drink it because there isn't any good ones available"

The internet has taken care of that. Also, the Canadians have been supplying us with Red Rose for more than a century, which, while not top of the line, is a highly acceptable everyday bag tea.

Also, you can get PG Tips pretty much everywhere.

Edit: To be clear, I'm not holding up RedRose and PG as the pinnacle of teadom - they're just very acceptable and available widely.

I think you can just set DYLD_FALLBACK_LIBRARY_PATH to /Developer/NVIDIA/CUDA-8.0/lib and not have to copy anything around.

You have 50 seamless interactions, one bad one, then you go home and say, "You won't believe what happened to me at the pharmacy. I can't wait for robots to take over."

It doesn't really matter if $12/hour is good or bad. If you're having trouble finding new workers, you're going to have to poach from the existing labor pool (aka from your competition) with higher wages and better benefits. If you can't pay the same wage as your competition because your business is swimming in overhead costs, then you will soon go out of business in favor of your more efficient competition. I believe this is supposed to be the good bit of the capitalist system.

I'm always baffled by the people in these articles. From the anecdote at the beginning: he's having trouble hiring people for $12/hour (up to $70K/year with bonuses, etc).

I am also having trouble hiring people: I need a senior software engineer. Pay is $12/hour. It's taking me a long time to find workers. I guess people are just lazy and don't want to work.

Try to close your AMEX account, then watch the veil of friendliness drop. I had two accounts and called to close one. The lady yelled at me (yelled!) because I didnt feel like I needed to give them a reason for closing the account beyond "I dont want it anymore".

Regarding the reference you linked, there's a tiny part of the phone that they did not include in the bill of materials: software. That might add a few bucks to the final price.
