Routing should not impact the detection, it's usually based on maxmind's anonymous/datacenter database using your IP. Accuracy won't be 100% of course but you have to show compliance.

Was looking at making something that would interact with SystemConfiguration.framework and registers itself on the DynamicStore's callback (something akin to dns-heaven[1]). From the introductory tutorials included with xcode I have no idea what is the equivalent to applicationDidFinishLaunching() where this kind of things would be put. It looked like maybe BackgroundTask is what I'm looking for, but it seems arbitrarily limited on macOS to an urlsession, whatever that is ?

But I don't need or care about all that, what I need is a hub just like we had all those years that gives usb3 connectivity in a c form factor to 5 devices or more. If I need more there are plenty docking stations available.
edit: I also looked for a usb A hub with usb-c upstream, still no luck and stuck with a hub+power adapter and dinky otg a-to-c.
They removed inactive accounts. And made the handles available to register again by someone else.

1password does mitigate it to some extent by automatically copying the code to your clipboard after filling the form, these 2 things only work on the right domain. Of course you can still copy the values from the app but at least it hints at things being wrong.
