talkatv is open source and free to use.
talkatv is embedded on any page and uses XMLHttpRequest level 2 and Cross-Origin Resource Sharing to post the comment back to the server.
talkatv requires JavaScript, but has a non-javascript fallback which is a link to the talkatv server with an optional but recommended ?uri={{ page_uri }} argument. If the uri argument is not provided, talkatv will try to get the page URI from the HTTP Referer header."

I am curious if it acts like a separate network or if it is simply the Tor Browser in separate hardware (without the protection from no-script and https everywhere). Has anyone here tried it out?

Working at a local hackerspace in Malmö (Sweden) a few weeks back a girl came in with one of these and complained that it was annoying that it kept poking her in the neck all the time. When she pointed to where it was itching it accidentaly exploded around her head. Sounded like a gunshot. No one was hurt, many where shocked. Better safe than sorry I guess.
This is done in Sweden by the project Creeper[1]. People embedd images on their websites and the site list all the ip adresses, belonging to the state, that visit those websites.
There is also a similar project, mediacreeper, for IP belonging to the press [2].

In their FAQ they mention how they intend to connect serveral countries through VPN tunnels and using anycast so that personal traffic won't cross national borders: https://hemlismessenger.wordpress.com/2013/07/10/first-bunch...
This would stop FRA since they are not allowed to look at domestic traffic, only traffic crossing the border.

Workng on 4.0.2 with Chrome for me. Landscape mode and then swipe.
Nice project. Noted that my Ghostery script is blocking both facebook connect and Google Analytics. Even if TOR is used these services are able to easily fingerprint the browser and compare to their own databases (https://panopticlick.eff.org/).
It would be nice if these where opt-in.

Maybe it is not possible to completly stop it, but they could just implement severe punishments for trying to connect to services like TOR, I2P and VPNs. The traffic is definitely detectable, (here is a project that tries to make it harder to detect TOR traffic http://www.owlfolio.org/media/2010/05/stegotorus-talk/). Even if they can't catch them all they can catch and punish enough people to make it to dangerous to use a VPN/TOR/I2P to not make it worth the risk to access the uncensored internet.
Has it been taken down or is it because I am on a Swedish IP? "403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied."

How is security handled here when it seems like the client can write freely to the database? Are there any restrictions?
I forked the code in this article and made it parse a Pastebin site hosted on the I2P Darknet (http://i2p2.de). Expected to find alot of more stuff like this in a completly anonymous enviroment like I2P. But no, the anonymous people on I2P seems like a nice bunch.
