Exactly, I don't want an ugly car. One of the numerous things I love about my Model Y is how awesome it looks. Screw the Ford, GM, Chrysler, Subi, Toyota, etc bars of soap.

Nor is it the experience anyone with a Tesla experiences. Nothing else comes close to Tesla in build quality (My wife's Subi Forrester is a flaming POS in comparison) or driving experience. Every other car company makes vehicles to make money, and fail on target after warranty (or in the case of Ford during warranty costing Ford billions in warranty costs). Tesla seems to "break" capitalism, they make their cars to last and NOT break.

Why's that? I'm selling my Dodge Ram 2500 crew cab 8' bed Cummins Diesel as my CyberTruck reservation should be towards the top. I view the CyberTruck as a superior replacement for the Cummins Diesel. Then again I own a Model Y and really don't want to own another dino powered vehicle. I've replaced way to many engines and transmissions in my life. I have a 1 ton gantry in my garage that hopefully will never be used on gas/diesel powertrains again.

I need to install Arch on my Garuda system - it's pretty jacked up. First time in 25 years I've ever had a Linux distro that just plain needs to be nuked. I will never touch Garuda again, installing it was a mistake. Arch is amazing, but Garuda is not.

Mercedes L3 is such a joke. Max speed 45 MPH on the freeway. Requires lead car. Probably ideal for someone with really, really good insurance against getting rear-ended and accident lawyer best friend.

lol, I can tell you don't have FSD. I don't even drive anymore, I just watch. The vast majority of the time the car does something unexpected there's a child crossing in the middle of street at night, or a car behind me moving into my lane that I didn't see at first because it was in my blind spot. FSD is already good enough that if it stopped progressing I would feel like I got my money's worth. FSD is amazing. It's almost a solved problem, I believe that it's currently 5x safer than human driver, and that seems/feels right. One year ago FSD was an insanely expensive party trick, now it works. Headlines can state stuff like this, but it's a lot like Microsoft going on about how much better they are then Linux. You should watch the videos on how bad the Mercedes L3 is, it only works on freeways UNDER 45 MPH with a lead car.

Tesla is in trouble? I think every other auto company other than BYD are on the verge of going out of business. Tesla makes every traditional auto company look incompetent. It's now cheaper, over a period of 8 years, to buy and "fuel" a Model 3 than a Toyota Camry. My Model Y saved my wife's life by literally preventing her from completing a left hand turn when the light turned red because it saw a car (that she did not) doing 80-90MPH that 2 seconds later ran the red light. I could go on for hours about how amazing the car and their tech is.

It's never been about profit. Tesla has a goal of electrifying the car market. Elon has stated he would consider making the rest of the industry switch to making EVs a success. Elon has his goals that he very reliably sticks to (Ignore the entertainment "news" companies that lie non stop). Tesla raised the price of their vehicles over and over again to stabilize demand, they didn't want 2 year wait times. Elon has stated he's not happy with how much the cars cost right now.

Number of cars sold. As far as profit, they're making several times the money per vehicle sold compared to companies like Toyota.

Well on deliveries in the US yes, because otherwise everyone with a brain would put off the delivery for a few more days to get their $7,500 Federal tax credit.
