Your games looks really good. Do you handle art + programming by ourself ?

As someone that would like to create my own (basic) games, what would be the right tools and frameworks In your opinion to create art and game logic ?

The easier to learn the better haha

10 Years of Meteor 4 years ago

Wow Sacha Greif, a name I haven't seen in a long time!

Thank you for the good memories, I know every thing and everyone you talked about in this post. BTW, back in the days I created 2 very popular Atmosphere packages

I wish Meteor succeeded in becoming more mainstream, and the MDG didn't abandon it so quickly to go after the new shiny tool that was GraphQL

Nowadays, there is still no equivalent framework in the JS world in terms of productivity

My side project https://playtoearn.one/ is not making $500/month yet, but it's getting there: a tiny bit more than $400 for this month

It's getting around 250-300 visitors a day, and in a high paying niche

I started using "classic" ads - which were/are making next to nothing - but just signed a deal with a direct client for 400$ for 3 weeks of displaying his game on the site, on the top banner

There are so many play-to-earn games popping up at the same time that projects are fighting for visibility, which playtoearn.one can bring

So now, I've hired a designer to make a great looking UI and I'm getting motivated to turn this side project into something more than this

EDIT: Traffic for the past month:

Is it me or the current stocks / housing / crypto markets are absolutely insane those days ?

All of our "lightweight Sinatra(and similar) API" services eventually start to look more and more like Rails apps

Oh man, I've been working as a freelance/agency with a a team of 3 experts in nodejs for 5 years now - we've built API & products for many many clients

Our nodejs/express "lightweight" framework is looking exactly like a rails app now (migrations, controllers and models generator, some scaffolding generators)

do you honestly believe that without that rating system offered to the Institutional Investment crowd I mentioned earlier they'd be at even a fraction of their valuation/purchase price?

Standard license is $299/ mo, even with only 3000 paying customers, and there are likely way more than 3000 paying customers, that would be $10M a year in revenue

CMC is a good asset and a valuation/purchase price of $400M is a fair price for the API product only, let alone the ranking /rating aspect

and shutting down the "exchanges" like coinbase would tank the value for crypto

Sure it would, but you can't close decentralized on-chain exchanges like uniswap or Kyber

I'm pretty sure there will always be a fiat<->crypto bridge, you can't "shut them all down" IMO

While in Paris working as a freelance nodejs developer, I built a website that was making me just enough to get by in South East Asia without having to work (a bit more than $1k/month)

So I left France, and while living on the money generated by this website, I tried to build a product

In the end, my website revenue dried up and I went back to France to work as a freelance developer, after a year of digital nomadism in SEA

It was one of my happiest time in life

It feels like it was decades ago, time flies

I am from France as well, I use Twitter every day

Twitter is the only way I have to get informed and mingle with people interested in solidity/Ethereum development (eg; Defi/makerDao/Kyber protocol...)

The only people I know that use Twitter every day are working within the blockchain dev community
