As someone that lives in downtown Vancouver and was a regular Nordstrom shopper we have a very different view of Canadians. I think the real issue if the proliferation of high end brand specific stores, why buy buy a LV purse from Nordstrom when there is an LV store next door. The designer brands are just figuring out distribution themselves.

The luxury market is huge in major Canadian cities.

I have a Ipad with Magic keyboard that I tried to make work for just keeping up on work while I travelled not even as a primary dev machine and without background tasks it was just not possible.

Ended up giving it to my wife and getting a surface go 2 m3, its lighter smaller and 1000% more capable, couldn't be happier.

Emacs needs this so bad but I really believe it could never attract enough people to develop and maintain it without sane defaults.

I think if you could easily install and use emacs to edit a text file with no knowledge it's userbase would grow exponentially overnight.

Me and everyone I know stopped using when they removed XUL extensions, that may not be representative of the general populace but losing the mindshare of power users could not have helped them. For a decade when non technical users asked me what browser to use I told them Firefox, that stopped then they abandoned powerful extensions.

The number one thing I do on github is read README files and adding a right column just makes the area I use to do that smaller.

The header thing must be a bug, I can't imagine that won't get fixed.

In Canada take out places are adding grocery boxes, wine and beer to their take out menu's. Seems like this may not even need to involve grocery stores. Why not get some essentials if you are already getting delivery.
