Thank you! As it has become popular at baby showers to bring a book I always send my partner with the original 2. We have probably gifted 5 or 6 sets now.

I feel like people are responding emotionally about censorship but this is a business product. I don’t want my chat bot doing anything I don’t want it to. There are court cases in Canada saying the business is liable for what the chat bot says.

I think the idea is that you would need to call ahead to any branch. Why not use one closer to the transaction.

I was recently talking about the Z10 being the best phone I have owned. It lacked app support otherwise I would have used it longer. Unified inbox is what I miss most about it.

The search is amazing and scary. I was looking for some pictures I took mid renovation and searched `wood` and they came up. I can search for lakes and trees. Quite impressive.

When I was in university for engineering I didn't get a choice which classes I took. You took the classes that were part of your degree. You also didn't get a ton of flexibility in when you take a course. Courses were generally offered once per year as all students would progress at the same rate.

Almost all the comments that are unhappy with the LoTR trilogy are upset that they didn't add every single thing from the book. Tom Bombadil adds nothing to the story. Glorfindel can and was easily swapped. I believe the books have ~160 different characters with speaking roles. If they were accurate with the books it would cost way too much and they would need 30 hrs of runtime.

I agree about high end items.

We started some home renovations recently and used FB Marketplace to get rid of everything. We got rid of a vanity, toilet, light fixtures, oven, skill saw, media center, and more. We usually list it for ~$20 (except the oven) and if the person doesn't do anything weird we give it for free. It's way better than throwing things out.

Do many people watch through embedded videos or do people watch in the YouTube app? There's a convenience in having all your videos in 1 place. I've had a couple podcasts move to Spotify only and I stopped listening even though I have a Spotify subscription.

I think there is a lot of people here who hate their offices/coworkers. I haven't worked at a FAANG(?) company but I've always enjoyed my office. I've learned a lot from random coffee runs with people in the sales team or support team. I've randomly glimpsed someone traversing our logs in a way I didn't know possible and asked them to teach me. I've had great technical discussions with people at lunch that couldn't be planned. I hope to have these again some day.

While those are useful. I've learned so much from watching more senior developers use their tools. The things you couldn't ask about because you didn't know it existed. Productivity hacks, IDE shortcuts, custom key mappings, codebase traversal, git commands/shortcuts.

From what I remember it wasn't too bad at the beginning. It was a clean layout and easy to read. That has now been polluted with sign up modals and toolbars.

I assume from a content producing side it was easier to not deal with hosting, scaling, etc.

On the notifications part, I had a Huawei phone for a bit and encountered the same issue. Huawei does some crazy things to keep the battery from draining. It does kill almost all background apps. There are some settings to stop this but it seems like a crap shoot whether it decided to listen to them. I thought android had gone down hill and eventually tested out an S9 and realized it was the Huawei android flavor that did this.

This would be amazing! Not a fan of the numpad on my laptop.

Maybe an example of what invoicing is like and what integrations it has would help. Maybe an example of what insights it will have over my time management.

Will they sell it at duty free like alcohol is?

I don't mind it being LCBOish but pot can come in a lot of forms and I'm not sure the government will be up to providing it in oils, candies, cookies, vape juices, baked goods all around, butter, tea, cola, etc. This is something a small shop would make and sell easily. A lot of people enjoy smoke free pot and I am not certain they will handle that.

But reviewing, issues, PRs, etc. are. A lot of the planning parts are down.

At what point do you stop being a start up? They have a revenue of ~$6.5B and 12,000 employees.

I host several smallish PHP/HTML sites for family, friends, and a few clients. Is Kubernetes a viable solution. These sites get very little traffic.

What I am looking for is: - Ability to easily deploy containers - Ability to route by url - Ability to swap out containers without affecting others

Does Kubernetes solve this problem for me? Is there a better option?
