Same when we went from horse carriages to gasoline powered cars. There was no infrastructure in place to buy hydrocarbons for otto-engines, other than in pharmacies.
Industries are built when demand is rising, infrastructure always has to change to cover the needs of the population.

They can be, and there are demonstration plants doing this already. With more EVs on the road it is even going to make economical sense at some point.

In the end it's mainly about developing an habit to check your expenses. This can easily get to 100-150$ recouped per month. Which, when going into settling high interest debts makes a huge difference.

Try to increase your initial share taken from salary over time. When you get a raise, make sure to adjust the amount you put aside every month.

Liquids, especially when used in ICE engines later on, would result in an energy efficiency of 5-10% max. This is abysmal and we could use that otherwise wasted energy to decarbonize many other things by directly electrifying them.
Look up how the energy market works, thats one of the main culprits here, because it has been designed to shovel money towards large fossil baseload powerplants. Which are owned by large corporations with lobby groups just as big as your friends in the internet troll hut.
Reality is a lot more complex. Conservative parties rule the majority of german states. Over time they added more and more rules to local law, which implicitly prevented more renewable generation, especially from wind.
Also there have been a lot of astroturf groups spawning up over the years. From hard climate change denial, blackout FUD-spreader and false claims about health impacts. They feed a huge load of BS to the locals, as soon as a developer wants to create a new windpark.
It does not have anything to do with the European Green Deal, and you probably even know that. Putin is putting pressure on Europe, because his only lifeline for money is going to run dry if we require less fossil fuels in the future.
One of the main problems is the market design for electricity in Europe. It uses a merit order based pricing model.
Simplified version: - Everyone lists how much power they can produce at which marginal price (Renewables = 0c/kWh, Nuclear/Lignite = 4-8c/kWh, Gas peaker = very much based on the current gas prices) - Offers get sorted by marginal price. - Buyers put in the amount of power they want to buy. - The transaction (which is always a 1h timeslot) is resolved by adding up all buyers and take all offers from the list, till demand is fulfilled. - The price of the last kWh bought, will determine the price for everyone.
So, as soon as a single gas power plant is required to fulfill demand, the whole market price is going up. With the extreme rise in gas-prices, due to Russia playing games with the gas-market, The average market prices have gone up. Especially Nuclear and Lignite plants are very happy about the current situation, as they make much more money due to market mechanisms.
While lots of renewables drive the prices down (as they are usually valued at zero due to feed-in tariff regulations).
Another issue is, France has multiple nuclear reactors in unplanned maintenance due to failures. Their fleet is missing more than 10% of their capacity, while most of France is heating with direct electricity heating (not even heat pumps).
Result: The electricity market is in a massive crunch right now in Europe, electricity prices are driven by natural gas prices. And there we've got a huge dependency on Russia. .... And Russia is arguing that all Europe needs to do is certifying their new pipeline (Nordstream2), which comes with massive geopolitical problems attached to it.

Sorry, but that's just wrong, the maximum you're paying for public health insurance (as an employee) in Germany is around 7.5% of your pre-taxed income. BUT, there is a limit called "Beitragsbemessungsgrenze" which caps the amount of yearly income when calculating the amounts. The cap is currently at 58050 Euros, which translates to roughly 385 Euros.
Only if you also include the public pension and unemployment insurance deductions (both of which are also percentage based and capped) you'll max out at about 1050 Euros.

What the site does not seem to talk about is that an internal commission in 2011 found[1] that the real cost per kWh is around 50-56c. Nuclear power in France is heavily subsidized, directly and indirectly.
I would prefer if you could provide sources. One typical trap I see people fall into is mistaking physical flow for trading. With Germany being in the center of Europe, it always has a large amount of energy exchanged with France, thats a physical necessity, basically due to "transiting" through the german grid to other countries.
But even in 2020, Imports and Exports with France leveled out with Germany exporting a bit more.

The low prices are not set by solar, as you probably know, subsidized renewables are always sold for 0, they can't change their pricing. But fossil plants (especially lignite and nuclear) drop their prices as they are not able to completely turn off or reduce below a certain amount of power.

Also, during harsh winters and warm summers, france is happy to buy electrical energy from us, because of the unreliability in their system under those circumstances.

One of the biggest end-user of CO2 is the fossil fuel industry, blowing CO2 into well to extract more fossil fuel .... Will OP make sure their product is not used to extract more fossil fuels?

I'll be blunt. This sounds very fishy to me. Diesel creates about 2.6kg of CO2 per litre burned. So for a typical 500 litre tank of a Semi truck, you'll create 1.3tons of carbon. How exactly do you plan on storing that? How do you release it from its storage? When you store it under pressure, the release of the gas will create problems due to freezing. Not to mention the problems and energy requirements of pressurising 1t of carbon.
Thats why there is a need for a global Carbon Tax/Pricing System. This would internalise the cost of pollution and make engineering solution more important from a market perspective.

Efficiency is everything. Transporting fuels is even more cumbersome than transporting electricity. At only 10% or even 20% efficiency, you'll have a tough time to recoup the energy it took to built the plant creating the synthetic fuels .... Sorry, but Math and Physics is not on your side.
Millions of EVs integrated in the grid will serve as an amazing type of Energy Storage. We'll have to go to a decentralised energy grid, utilising demand management to a maximum.
The efficiency of the whole chain is pretty abysmal. Capturing free-air CO2 in large quantities is expensive, you better just store that in the ground and keep it there. I would not expect an efficiency above 20-30% for the synth-fuel generation, and then you put it into ICEs which also just have a 15-30% efficiency. You're burning 90% of the original energy, instead of using it to charge EVs with an 80-90% panel-2-wheel efficiency.
Power-2-X is still important as a long-term storage technology, but it's better to synthesise Methan which can can be generated with a better efficiency and can also be burned cleaner and with 55-65% efficiency in modern gas turbine power plants. This also allows for capturing CO2 at the power plant and create a complete cycle.
Synth-fuels will be a niche, used for long-haul trucking, heavy machinery and airplanes, but even there Hydrogen is going to be the better option at some point.

Well, the Manhattan Institute, which owns City Journal, is a big proponent of the Oil and Gas business. They have a track record of denying man-made climate change. So this just fits their usual canon.
There is no evidence of a significant effect. Especially compared to the effects of the added CO2 in the atmosphere.
The whole solar cycle argument has been well studied and understood, it's effects are minimal on the climate. But still, this is used by anthroposophic climate change deniers over and over again.
