http://androidweekly.net/toolbox - uh thats handy thx
a friend asked me some days ago: can u help me with a little problem? my old coder has no time to fix it.
the classic: "it worked yesterday..."
so i checked the code and all js,css files where used from a git repo from some other guy. who moved all files away in other directories.
was easy to fix, but i have no idea how stupid his coder is to use github urls from other people repos!!
design bug on ios!!!
possible to submit links to u?
uses "gays/gay/gaylord" as swear word?? srsly?
sooo now i only need a picture of my nemesis/crush to get in his/her apartment? sounds good...all the fun i can have...
...and totally not crepy...
WHAT THE FUCK?
one more reason to get a $70 lock where the key is not that easy to reproduce! and hopefully they stick to the normal rules and ask for the certificate when u want a copy. that would make it a bit safer.

"a complete guide"
and then in the first step u already using .rbenv without really mention it before (i also read ur other article where u saying that u using it)
maybe you can add a link to a good rbenv install faq or something like that. makes it easier for some people who might hit ur guide without rbenv.
but all in all a very good read. i will give it a try on the weekend in one of my apps.
first of all: i am so so so so sorry for you!!!
i have a older sister, and i guess i love her more then my parents, it would be the worth if she was gone. we are separated by five years, and we both in totally different things, but there is this connection between brothers and sisters which are stronger then everything else.
but there is a bad part about my comment, and that was more the intention i make this comment, and i already know i will get a lot of down votes, but: what the fuck has this do to on "HACKER NEWS"? it's not against you personally, but in the last weeks a lot of personal storys filling this page more and more, and i do not like this trend. i'm very ver sorry for this part of my comment! but it is bothering me since weeks.
but in the end i want to say again: i'm sorry for you i have a kind of an idea what it feels like, after my grandma past away 3 years ago.
Not a bad idea to use caps lock for a different key, but i guess it is not the big time saver to use it as cmd+r - takes pretty much the same time.
i also needed a tool to remap some keys - i'm living in germany but i'm using a us-int. keyboard to have it easier on coding. but also i wanted to use german letters: äöü without holding aou pressed and then press the number i need in the overlay of special chars.
now i have it on alt+a/o/u
i used Ukelele (http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&...) for it - pretty easy tool, where you can create your complete own keyboard layout and set it up with your own icon and so on. And without less steps then explained in your todo list.
who might is interested in this us-german-layout (https://github.com/marvwhere/usgerman)
1) Firefox is the new IE7/8 - i having more and more issues with standard css settings, which are f* up in the ff, but are nice and shiny in all other brothers (yes even in ie)
2) "I honestly believe Mozilla is committed to freedom and privacy on the web." - haha thats funny :D you know about chromium right? :D its free, you can code on it too if you want too, sure there are might be 1-2 functions in the chrome, which belongs to google, but all in all you can know the code. and google did there learnings after the first versions where they sending stuff to there servers.
and in the end, all browser are logging the same shit, where are we clicking, what are we doing, where we enter this and that. why? because they want to make there money too, and collect a big big big database, which they can sell to other companies. and learn stuff out of it. i guess on this view all brothers are the same crap
3) memory management - yes its true chrome get stuck more and more often, and eating the memory, and it is annoying. but for me, firefox still is worse. everytime i start firefox for debugging some website or whatever, i'm totally pissed, because this stupid software still needs like forever for the initialised start. and when you keep it open for 2 days, you done :D in my opinion even photoshop has a better memory management then firefox.
=
i hope for the chrome too, that the switch from opera to webkit, give them a little ass kick, because that is that what all browser companies needed, an ass kick.
first there was an IE everybody used it, so why should they update it? then there was the firefox, ie was screwed, everybody used ff now, so why should they update it? then there was the chrome, ff was screwed, everybody used chrome now, so why should they update it?
and everybody took there lesson out of it, IE is getting better, FF starts updating there browser after sitting on 3.6 like forever... and thats ok, people now having like 3-4 good brothers and can choose.
i like the idea, but i'm not that good in chess so i'm lost here =) my advantage? i could learn it, and solve the problem, but what are blind people doing? they have no chance to solve the captcha.
are there any ideas, how to deal with this problem? like a audio file, where all positions are being told? or anything like that? right now i would not have an idea how to solve this in a good way.
me as a web-developer often thinks about the common problem, we we need these captchas, and would be a good alternative to them. until now i had no idea )= hopefully someday someone has a idea to replace captchas with an easier protection for all people.
the sad part is, that we need stuff like captchas since years... stupid spam!!
i'm working with unix since years, but only on my server, and now for a little bit more then a year now on osx for 2 days a week.
and since one month i have my first own macbook. totally helpful to get in touch with some magic in the console.
thank to everybody, who makes my working life easier =)
hopefully my current customer, will not read this article :D
most of the time when i'm programming from my home office, i'm not listening to any music.
but since i'm working in an office, with 10 other people most of the time we listen to music over some speakers.
when its rock or metal i'm not very productive - but when listen to some good chillstep tracks with the right volume i notice for my self i get more shit done.
so i totally agree, right sounds/music in the correct volume and everything is fine.
p.s.: people talking around me distrect me totally, because my scumbag brain want to listen all the time...so i do not prefer coffee shops
just started with node yesterday, to bring on my new website, and i totally love FlatUIs, so thats a perfect css for me =) will use it today.
i got my mbp 15 (ordered online) begin of february - it worked for 5 days then it was done.
i already noticed that i had big fan issues, and wondered about it, because co-worker has the same model and has no issues with the fans, and normally they only start when he is gaming, what is ok.
so i had some problems, but said "okey"... on day 5 i went afk from my mbp to play a round of fifa13, when i came back, i had a black screen and only saw my mouse courser, reboot showed flickering apple-logo, dir-icon, etc.
i tried everything to get my system back (after 5 days had not started with time machine) - no chance at all, the sdd was done...
my luck: in the next city we have an apple store, so i made an appointment for the next morning went there, they tested again the ssd, because i guess the normal case for them is: THE CUSTOMER IS STUPID, OTHERWISE HE WOULD NOT PAY THAT MUCH MONEY FOR THAT CRAPPY HARDWARE...
after the "genius guy" noticed that the ssd was crashed, he was like "ok i guess on the retina the ssd is not changeable anymore...let me talk to my boss what we can do for you, so that you get your mbp in 1-2 days, because its not ok then it will take 2 weeks on a 5 day old mbp until u get it back"
15 mins later he came back, and was like "ok it is possible to change the ssd, and we have one here..."
he changed it, reinstalled osx and i payed 0,00 - left the building...
since then i never heard anything back from my fans (only when i'm playing www.heroesofnewearth.com =D )
p.s.: it is my first mbp, and i really pissed already, all my co-workers have apple products too, and everybody is getting pissed and more pissed from day to day...apple hardware is getting crappy...
man that is really fun!! we did a bomberman on a hackerthon, but only for 4 people each time, i like the mass multiplayer idea...
are u planing to put it on github? will be awesome to host in our own server to play against company people only
thats the same question i asked me right now too :D
always these problems with width and 100% - i def. give it a try in the next project!!
right now we have more then one leap motion in our office, and its pretty cool to do some stuff with it, but today we saw your gadget and video and we were very impressed.
i really like the slogan 'WAVEGOODBYE TO CAMERA BASED GESTURE CONTROL' - because ur idea can be used everywhere, camera gestures only in the reach of a computer/console.
so i really looking forward for the final version, and to hold it in my hand. i hope your sdk is awesome from the scratch. it would suck, if all developers have to wait for month, until a good version is available.
what i'm wondering, in the video the design of the hardware is different to the selling screens. and i like the velcro version much more, because the other one does not look like 'one size fits all' and might slight away on the most arms.
so whatever...i'm looking forward too late 2013
i like the idea very much, it's not that it is the newest shit in the web, everything was there before most of the time. but i like the design and the web IDE idea.
why? now i can think about leaving my macbook at home for a holiday trip, and when someone reports me an urgent bug, i still could fix it with my ipad. (most of the time urgent bugs are often one liners, so who cares to do this on an ipad)
but it will success or not with the prices...if it's cheaper then my current dedicated server, i might thinking about changing over, i wanted to cancel my dedicated server contract anyway.
so when can we expect prices?
my personal best new feature is:
"The UTF-8 default encoding, which make many magic comments omissible"
because i'm from Germany and we had to add: # coding: utf-8
in every freaking controller to get our german stupid letters (öäüß) to run without problems.
so i'm looking forward to my next project where i can use 2.0 from the scratch.
thank u!
very good points.
right now i have the same problems...still studing, more then one job, setting up/finishing my new apartment.
Respect to you, that u shotdown ur internet on ur laptop at 8.30pm - you never enter ur router and deactivate this feature?
i will try to adopt some of your points to get rid of some stress in my life.
thank you.
that was my first though, when i saw this website.
"another website, which will be only used by men kind" ... and nobody got banged ever...
=========
but damn now i want access to the open graph search :D just to play around with it.
i really like the idea of not buying all shit which is available, and keep his bugs together.
but at least i want some confizone at home, a good bed and stuff like that. just enough to relax and thats it.
i went from to have to much money to have like nothing, and one is for sure to have a little bit more money then u need, make things easier...what does not mean that u have to buy them.
thx to this comment, i created now a fluid-app for me with eggtimer.com! there is always a time when u need one (and ur too lazy to ask siri to do it ;) )
but now i would love to have a option on fluid, that ask me for parameter when it starts, so i can set the timeframe when i start the "app"
good articel and interesting facts! thank for sharing!
sounds interesting... i give it at least a try.
f* the download restriction...there are tons of apps out there with this function, and i guess google has to put these lines in there rules.
cool idea..
just tap the next image, works fine for me...
