I disagree with the author. Although all points outlined in the article might be independently true, making a general rule out of it is not ok. Especially modern, agile marketing teams that understand the importance of testing and learning are able to produce campaigns that generate positive ROI/ROAS.
Sidenote: Co-founder of Admetrics here. We provide an experimentation solution that enables businesses to run marketing experiments on their data at pace, so we see a lot of test results on a day to day basis.

people complaining about the price and comparing hardware specs tend to forget that the price incorporates running the world's best operating system with a visual ui. although hardware spec's might not always be too impressive, it needs to be considered that the macos can actually max these out as it's purpose-built for the hardware it runs on which is not the case for most of the windows/linux systems.
and no, i'm not an apple fanboi, but think that the products are pretty solid.
we use matomo, an open source clone of ga (previously called piwik). if you don‘t want a big disclaimer to be eu/gdpr compliant you can turn off cookie dropping in the preferences. you will still be able to track sessions and conversions, but unique user counts will be off. https://matomo.org/what-is-on-premise/

i like http://www.mkdocs.org, it's also python based.
since i installed the .1 beta yesterday (which was actually released today) my load avg increased by .6 - even after several reboots.
after being a long time user of evernote i switched to moo.do it's not a good tool for writing articles, but rather a mix between note taking and a todo app. your data is stored on your google drive, so you can back it up as you like.
it's free too: http://www.moo.do
House of Next Tuesday - Frankfurt/Main, Germany - onsite
We're hiring a full-time frontend developer (html/css/js).
Next Tuesday is a boutique shop offering web-based software development and consulting services. We have been doing this since 1999.
Our client relationships are established and long term. We do work for mid-size companies and also for blue-chips, global brands.

In our team members; we look for intitiative, team-spirit, professionalism, character.
imho it's not reasonable to perform dozens of http requests in order to create a device fingerprint. especially on mobile networks this will require a lot of time until all requests are through.
i thought the ipad mini 3 was called iphone 6 plus
well, that's the whole purpose of a tumbling service. i mean you don't even know how long they will be stuck there. i didn't investigate this, but splitting those into small amounts and then tumbling these around seems like exactly this pattern. if you are interested on how this was done in the maybe now second biggest known btc heist check http://www.newstatesman.com/future-proof/2013/12/theres-£60m...
that's common practice to anonymize bitcoins. google 'bitcoin tumbling service'.
looks like the FAZ http://www.faz.net
this article is from april?!
1. you would require access to the user's system in order to gain access to the private key of the cert
2. it provides better security than username/password authentication
3. it makes our lifes easier because you wouldn't have to remember passwords
it depends on how it gets implemented. if you decide that classic user/pw auth should co-exist it is of course still the "weakest link". sharing certificates across devices is also possible. os-x mavericks supports this natively with the new icloud keychain. although that might not be what you want, security-wise.
first of all, it doesn't have to be mandatory. classic auth via user/pw entry could still co-exist.
multi-device auth is possible too: each device could generate a client cert. the authenticator would have to be able to link multiple certs to a user account.
well it was about time
oh thank god they also finally fixed the 13inch mb pro retina freezes.
pledged.
