On Strix Halo, have a look at the work antirez is doing with dwarfstar (antirez/ds4) for deepseek v4 flash at reasonable speeds and quality.

My free account runs cloudflared tunnel just fine for jellyfin. Is it just plex?

I use the tunnel because my girlfriend cant install tailscale on her work laptop, so this way she can still login to jellyfin while traveling.

Could you explain? From my experience, they are exact digital copies of the ebooks on amazon. It’s not like mp3 in lower audio quality, it’s word by word the same book.

Sorry to cross your excellent questions, but it doesn’t seem they are beating HP Z2 mini G1a to market. HP announced first week of January that it will be “available in spring”, while now framework announced for Q3.

It also seems HP will use the PRO version of the chip.

Kudos to framework for announcing the price and anchoring the market though!

I keep getting an error “your file exceeds the maximum allowed size” or something. It’s a clip of 1:20 on iphone. I tried clipping it to 1 min but then it wouldn’t allow upload. I exported the clip to files and then uploaded but same error. How may I reduce the file size on my iPhone?

Mistral 7B is pretty good and the instruct v0.2 runs on my iPhone through MLC Chat.

However, the ChatGPT4 app is much better in usability: better model, multi-modal with text/vision/speech and better UI.

Good tips, although I prefer the hard case carry-on trolley because it will survive the occasional situation where you want to use it as check-in luggage (eg bringing bottles or extra weight) or when it’s forced to be checked in at boarding (happened few times and a cloth trolley does not come out unharmed).

You can download the weights on Hugginface.

I believe the copyright on AI model weights in the US is not fully established, but so far it has been held that a list of numbers can not be copyrighted, so likely the same applies to model weights. Note that you don't have to enter into an agreement with Adept to use the model.

Alternatively, use and download the weights in Japan that has explicitly no copyright on AI models.

One idea would be for the government of Hungary to create a list of its citizens that share this inciting, dangerous or whatever you you wanna call it material. If they keep on finding the same persons distributing multiple times, they may pay them a visit, get them fired from their government job, block their bank accounts, put them on the no-fly list or whatever.

And that’s just one idea, probably there’s others.

* I know people don’t want hear it but the taking of Odessa and the rest of the coast will very likely still happen, eventually. Probably not via Kherson, preferably without force.

Genuinly curious, because this is the first time I read this. How do you see the taking of Odessa by Russia as very likely? It's their main port, I don't see how Ukraine would be able to survive without it.

To add some practical context to this insightful comment: in Belgium, 1-on-1 conversations are considered private and as such protected, meaning you need a judge order to listen in. However, If the conversation is professional, both parties are allowed to record it.

Now, any conversation with 3 or more parties is considered public. A closed group chat on whatsapp has the same legal protection as shouting it on a megaphone to a crowd, meaning none whatsoever and people have already been convicted for their speech in closed chats or forums.

I believe you've misread 2^(5/12) or perhaps your browser did not display it correctly? Anyway, 2 to the power of 5/12 equals 1.3348.. which is very close to 4/3 = 1.333..

This is a very strange argument, because banks do not lend out deposits.

Deposits are created jointly with each new loan on its balance (and destroyed when the loan pays back).

Offering higher deposits is actually a higher cost for a bank and lowers its profitability.

I am curious about your presumption that pre-fab construction “has a massive reduction in cost”. Anecdotal evidence suggests this allows for faster construction on site (as you say) but hardly any costs reduction. From what I gather, the pre-fab units are still constructed uniquely with manual labour, only in a factory hall instead of on site. Extra transportation efforts seem to destroy most of any cost savings. The actual massive line production of standardized units ready for construction does not seem to exist anywhere for house construction, as it exists for other manufacturing. Happy to be proven wrong and learn more though!

Third, while the French Foreign Legion is romantic and all, they won't take you if they find you have a criminal record.

This is not true unless you are wanted by interpol or a very serious record such as murder.

For an American, might crossing into Canada be an easier option?
